how much sand are you packing in that vagina? I was responding to someone who named their god, "god". So, the comment is correctly phrased. There is a common inference that the term "god" is in reference to the christian religion.. but there is also a commonality that nearly all of those christians use when speaking of yehweh by calling it "god" and not a phrase like "our god".

so fuck off

I was talking about religion because that was the topic, I didn't start talking about religion, I just continued with it.
I was trying to answer questions as to why we would even want to know if god exists or not, or how the universe was created, I wasn't singling out religious people for the sake of putting down their activities or anything.
For arguments sake, we find out, with definitive proof that god doesn't exist, no deities exist, then is what people do at churches etc a waste of time or not? I'd say not necessarily, it can still help a lot of people
I wasn't saying that it is a waste of time, you completely misread my comment if that is what you think I wrote.
What I meant by seeing how the universe was created was we could maybe see the immediate reactions following the creation and based on that and prior knowledge determine what caused the creation.
Not that we could observe or recreate, though we might eventually be able to do that too, I don't know...

Very different from my stuff.
I never know for sure if I've actually dreamt this before. It just feels very much so. Uncomfortable even, but the déjà vu lasts only seconds, usually. Maybe it has something to do with my strange memory. I remember many things, but also forget many things. There's apparently no pattern. But yeah, the most frequent kind of déjà vu is having a conversation with somebody, maybe about something that just happened, like a broken vase or something, and as I answer, I realize that I am contributing to reenacting something that seems awfully familiar.

I didn't mean to make it sound like only atheists are productive, I think you were reading a bit more into my comment than what I meant...

Anyhow, maybe we will at some point figure out how the world was created, maybe at some point we will "go back" far enough that we can see that the reaction was caused by this and that, it's not impossible.
User avatar #57 - IamSofaKingdom (05/05/2015) [-]
To observe the creation of the universe is impossible. To recreate it would be to destroy everything and any "evidence" would be created after the fact. We can only observe how things move now and make guesses. I don't know how you are even hypothetically suggesting that the creation of the universe may be studied in any concrete way.

Also you were pointing out how religious people are wasting time, as if that wasn't something that literally everyone does. Instead of attempting to prove church time is a waste (which is, by all physical means available to us, impossible) why not prove to people that video games, sports, celebrity worship, or a multitude of other things are wastes of time? Those things can be proven with empirical evidence (and I will bet you that even if you proved it, like others have tried, that no one will care to change).

You particularly point out religion rather than this near infinite scope of other things despite religion being one of the most abstract issues you can choose to tackle. I have never understood the obsession with disproving religion because even if it is successful it ultimately leads nowhere. Massive workload for almost non existent pay off.

Daishinkan is Lion Song on steroids and just a more powerful technique in every way.

The strongest move he's shown so far is the improved 3000 Worlds technique he used against Pica, which uses all three (possibly 9) swords.

And then you realize that YOU reacting to this very feeling is part of the déjà vu and was the reason why you were paying attention to the feeling in the first place (The first time you "experienced" that moment), making you able to remember it more detailed than other moments. Like some weird space/time paradox.
At least that's how I feel.
User avatar #123 - jordoguy (05/04/2015) [-]
You're right, sometimes when it happens I think to myself "aha this is one of those deja vu moments" but then I realize I had also thought that when I had dreamt it.

No, I always pick a part in the middle once I remember and then where I remember that I say something specific or do something specific and I either do something else or nothing at all.

i actually had a deja vu about the Mayweather fight even though I don't watch boxing. I remember several years back I had a dream where I was behind a group of people who were watching the fight and it was right at the end when they declared Mayweather the winner. This time there was no crowd though, I just saw people on forums discussing who would win while it was happening. I said I dreamed it was Mayweather and then went to bed because I had a 24 hour flu that had be vomiting. Maybe I should have put some money down on it lol. I think that was the first deja vu I have ever had where the situation was similar but the people and location were different.
