Seems people don't really see their outsides as being themselves.
They simply reject their physical vessel entirely. So seeing that body in the mirror would not necessarily equate to the washroom being one that they can use.

'cause those that are female on the inside and male on the outside will still see a bathroom for a male, which they would not enter because they don't see themselves as male.

I honestly don't understand the mentality of any groups looking for acceptance in this way.

"Accept us because we are the same as you!"

"If you do accept us you need to make changes because we are different"

Make up your mind, are you the same or different? you can't be both.
