You're welcome

Wences Casares talked about his in a BigThink video where I think he explained it expertly. www.youtube.com/watch?v=gKkfhi8Eaiw

I would however take his praising of the BitCoin with a grain of salt as I believe he owns a business that has an interest in it. Not to say that a personal interest invalidates his arguments, but I think the blockchain size might eventually be a gamebreaker for the BitCoin, unless you somehow have stations that process the transactions for you, relieving the client of the blockchain. That would however mean it wouldn't be an entirely decentralized currency anymore.

I would be -fine- with the good guys losing if there was a point to it. There was no point to it in Breaking Bad. Also, there was only ONE good guy in the whole series, and that was Jessie and he "won". Walter was a petulant, whining child who gave up on a life he absolutely would have wanted because he was jealous. He is immature and his pride led him into crime and he is just an awful father to an awful son with an awful wife who had an awful sister and everyone was just fucking awful.

Braveheart. The good guys lose. It is a message about the freedom to live and die for what you believe in. Breaking Bad. A load of assholes die. It is a message that the United States is an awful place filled with awful people.

Bioshock: Burial at Sea. Another prime example of the good guy getting axed off for no satisfactory reason. There is no message in Burial at Sea. No compelling reason for Elizabeth to die.

Even in Game of Thrones (T.V. Series) where people die in droves nobody dies for no good reason. Robb dies because he is naive and a bad king. Joffrey dies for the same reason. Robert dies because he is a cunt who abuses his wife. Tywin dies because he is a cunt that manipulates everyone and cares for nobody. The message in Game of Thrones is not that the good guys always lose. It's a cautionary tale about not making enemies of people. Who is the single most successful character in the whole series thus-far? It's Littlefinger. He succeeds where everyone else fails because he doesn't make enemies. Tyrion, who is arguably Littlefinger's equal, loses because he gets up in everyone's face and because he has always had enemies from the day he was born. Varys imports the bastards that cut him in a crate just to watch him suffer.

In writing the reason the good guys win is because it sends a message. Granted, that message is generally "Be a good person and good things will happen." which is naive, but at least it's optimistic. If the good guys lose it should also send a message, and Breaking Bad sends no such message.

Well, it's supply and demand. As long as there are enough people who feed that system by paying huge sums for doing a comparably low-paying job, the system will continue like this.

Basically, the state is exploiting your high level of motivation for becoming a teacher, and you allow them to do so.

I mean, I need to get the degree to teach, so there is no way around it. Also most of the good jobs require degrees. You're basically paying to have the good jobs. For me, teaching is probably one of the best jobs in the world, and I'v always believed that happiness is more important than money.

Seriously dude? Are you so narrow minded that you don't believe that someone who doesn't even watch Family Guy could've come up with a joke apparently similar to that on the show? I've already explained how I got the idea and I don't ******** . It's not hard to type in "Credit to _____" and I ALWAYS give credit where due
