>dad can be seen in the dark, walking back to his room
>talked to him, asked him what he was doing. No response. Called to him, a little louder. Still nothing. Called him by name, pretty loudly (not yelling but definitely not an inside voice), still does not respond, just keeps shuffling back into his room
>considered reaching from the stairwell to touch him, but didn't because I was shaking so hard
>dad closes door, can hear him shuffling back to his bed
>went back downstairs, his dogs will not leave my room. For the rest of the night all three of the dogs are piled against the door
>managed to get to sleep for a few hours until my dad woke up for work (works fire department, gets up super early to dick around and relax before work)
>busts into my room in a panic looking for the dogs
>Asks me why I took them, I explain to him exactly what happened
>doesn't remember anything (surprise surprise)

Nothing THAT weird has happened since then, but there is plenty of weird shit that happens around here on a pretty regular basis. If you'd like I can pm you as many stories as you want to hear.

Could have been the case, but I was all sorts of nope.

Another story:
>Live in basement of dad's house
>my room is right under the stairs. You can hear anyone walk up and down, and you can hear when people walk around upstairs, ESPECIALLY animals because it's hardwood flooring
>Once my dad goes to bed, he does not walk around in the middle of the night unless he needs to go to the bathroom. He lives in the master bedroom, with carpeting, so when he gets up you can only hear if you're directly underneath him
>My dog with me, his dogs with him. Keep doors closed so they don't run around or get into garbage or anything. You can also hear when doors open and close
>About 2 AM, awake because I have sleep problems
>hear scratching around upstairs near the front door, disregard for a few seconds because I was watching Netflix and it's not uncommon to hear scratching noises in the house
>Scratching turns into thuds, like someone is walking around
>Pause everything. Now it's weird because I didn't hear my dad's door open
>dog is perked up too, looking at the ceiling
>thuds stop roughly around the top of the stairs for a few seconds
>now hear something ON the stairs
>only takes first four steps down, then stops
>dog jumps up from bed and stands in front of the door, hackles up
>no more noises for a few minutes, but dog does not move
>hear dad's door open. His dogs come scrambling out
>dogs come rushing down the stairs to my room. They're crying and scratching (which they never do) so I get up to let them in
>hear walking to the other side of our living area, where our sliding patio door is
>door slides open, but don't hear anyone walk out aside
>silent for about half an hour. Too scared to sleep. Dogs are all piled against the door
>after the half hour, the patio door slides shut. Hear walking, albeit a little slower and shuffling this time
>muster up the courage to move dogs from door, rush out of my room and climb about halfway up stairs
>continued in next comment

I agree with you, it's really sad to see when someone in a bikini wins over people who worked months on kickass cosplay but since it's not about tits, they lose. I'm just wondering where the border would be between girly and sexy, for ecample the girl on the picture shows pretty much skin but she worked a shitload of time on the armor, the pulsating led and she even designed the whole thing (mashup between starcrat Protoss and Diablo wizard)

Maybe they should start requiring that you submit pictures of what you're cosplaying with your entries. Like for that girl, she would submit a picture of the sources she used for her cosplay.

Also, this is why I will insert a super-pushup bra into my next cosplay: When I was cosplaying as catwoman (not the best costume I admit, actually my first) and I pulled my zipper below my bra suddenly twie as many people started taking photos because tits.
