How about I bring an unspayed and not declawed cat into your home and watch to see how long you can tolerate having it spray on everything after clawing it to bits?

Ever want nice furniture? Too bad, now it's covered in various cat fluids and scratch marks.

My female, clawed cat is in heat again and while mildly annoying, it doesn't hurt anything. Clawed up furniture? So what? I don't measure my happiness with top of the line furniture. You can fix torn upholstery anyways.

My cats have never been declawed. I've lost multiple pieces of furniture from it. I don't care, it's part of having a cat. Either deal with it and accept it or don't have cats.

Declawing and spay/neuter are two completely different things. Spay/neutering can actually help the animal, as it has been shown to be effectively used to solve a fair amount of behavior problems, especially in males. Not to mention it removes the risk of multiple unplanned litters, which would only lead to increase the overpopulation of cats/dogs and thus, more innocent animals having to be euthanized.

Declawing, however, does not help. All you're doing is removing their digits at the first knuckle. Go have that done to yourself and get back to me with how much you like it. Yeah, didn't think so.
