What should the response be, then?
So I can reply in a way that still artificially makes it look suspicious.
"no i didn't do that"
Now you're innocent until proven guilty
"Mr Hitler did you genocide the Jews"
"I was drunk and also I'm gay"
"Why is he so quick to provide a blanket denial? Thats so suspicious..."
Gee probably because if anyone accuses someone of sexual assault everyone just assumes guilty until proven innocent and you don't want to fucking encourage them
The point is that you can't just presume guilt OR innocence based on how they react to the accusation save for a legitimate confession of "yes, I remember that event and remember doing it and remember doing it to that person. t'was me."
You remember the same sort of retardation when Trump was accused of a bunch of sexual assaults from decades past? Dude had a more confession based reply than Kevin Spacey, but this website decided to jump to his defense instead of doing t
what we did/are doing with Spacey.
That's irrelevant. That's subjective echochambering. It's objectively more suspicious when you refuse to deny it. Like when Muslims refuse to condemn radical groups. Sure, maybe they don't pull for them, but their refusal to cooperate sure is suspect af
You mean like when Trump suspiciously refused to deny it, and even gave a followup comment condoning similar behavior?
Sure. That's pretty suspect. I'm only one person i can't control the other people's thoughts and opinions on stuff like that. But they're probably prioritizing based on the fact that Trump was a beacon of hope among a sea of political bullshit whereas Spacey is Hollywood and they're just sorta known for that sort of thing. Also Trump was never alleged to have diddled minors, which is a bit more extreme than adults, legally
That would be my take on it
There's oodles of justifications, but theyre still just that, justifications. Best case scenario, youre still saying that a murderer is "just fine" because some other guy "killed someone more emotionally relevant". I get that youre most likely not someone who's actually guilty of the hypocrisy, but its still definitely out there, and its not like im gonna not poke at it. So long as you get that the right answer is that theyre all innocent until PROVEN guilty we really dont have a quarrel.
