I'm a proud white hetero (and I kinda like guns). I'm not a big fan of insects, but it doesn't seem much of a big drawback.
I just wanna get away from this shitty weather back here, and from my trips in the US, I found people really friendly and warm (and yeah, unemployment here and an American degree are big push/pull factors too).
One thing tho, I've heard Arizona State University is like a party college and that its not running short of girls. Is that true too?

Memphis is hotter than the rest of Tennessee. I'm not well informed of the science behind it, but I think its because of how close we are to sea level by the Mississippi River. A couple of summers ago, it was so hot, several people I know, including myself, had their rear view mirrors fall off their windshields because the glue holding them on melted.

Growing up in Memphis, I can't fathom how people survived in some of these areas without air conditioning back in the day. I remember how shocked I was the first time I learned that there are certain parts of the U.S. who commonly don't even have central ac, but then it was explained to me that states like Colorado, New York, and even Hawaii don't have summers that feel like the Devil's butthole, so its not a big deal.

I'm surprised people can survive in Memphis today, with all the violent crime.

It's true. Number 3 in the nation. Detroit has more murders, but we have them beat in rapes and carjackings. You can't go to a single gas station in midtown without being harassed by bums. (not the begging kind, the entitled kind that get in your face) I have never owned a car here that hasn't been broken into at least once (and I've gone through quite a few cars), just about everyone I know has had their home broken into at some point (one childhood friend of mine had it happen to him 3 times in one year when he lived near the University of Memphis), and 2 years ago this July will mark the anniversary of a 10+ year friend of mine getting shot to death in a home invasion, inspiring me to go back to college, get a degree, and nope the fuck out of here.

And I really shouldn't get on a Memphis rant like this because its so hard for me to stop, but our standard of education is extremely low, too, and our jobs don't pay shit. I currently live in Millington (about 15 miles outside Memphis) which cuts down on my crime experiences, but makes all the commutes to work and school kinda crazy.

I visited once, and we turned down a job offer there for big money. A lot of the decision was based on the income disparity. We make a.... killing financially. The job paid around 200k a year. But the problem with Memphis is there's a huge have or have not society. If you have you can't live by the have nots, and visa versa. Well, you can but the have not area is so crime infested you wouldn't want to.
