Our economy is growing, the debt is a problem but not as much of one as most people think, considering nobody expects us to pay them back anytime soon plus the fact that most of the debt is owed to the American people who don't seem to be needing it at the moment in it's original form, and where is the looming economic crash? Sure, Congress is doing a shitty job on the budget, but our economy has never been weak, it's the banks that have been fucking up. The banks can't singlehandedly destroy the economy. The real problem in the nation isn't the economy anymore, it's helping out the poor and the homeless and giving them jobs. If we can create jobs, we can fix the economic problem. Also, the military has waaaaay too much money going in it, so there's another reason why the economy doesn't look as good as it really is.

I agree with the military part. And it is true we need jobs, but the majority of those who are unemployed are on welfare. Now, there are some cases in which welfare is okay to have (i.e. you are a single mother/father with disabled children or you are disabled, and you cannot get a job, nor could you afford a sitter/care center to take care of your children if they are disabled), but the majority of people on welfare are those who just want the free money and generally aren't looking for jobs. I honestly think we have plenty of jobs opening up now, there just isn't anyone trying hard enough to find them.

And that's where legislation comes in. We put a cap on welfare (Or lower it actually, since there already is a cap on it.) or limit the amount of times a person can be on welfare within a set amount of time, like two different times in five years.

yes because jobs simply appear out of nowhere and poor people who have nothing gets well paid jobs flying straight at them!

*facepalm* Read my earlier comment. I'll elaborate just in case you didn't understand. We create more permanent jobs so those who need welfare can get off of it and work for themselves, but we limit welfare so those who are on it just because they're too lazy to get jobs can't stay on it indefinitely. Listen to what's being said before you make your opinion, my friend.

Except for the fact that America is the most stable country aside from Germany. However, I agree that the system's flawed and needs fixed.

America isn't stable at all. We could have a massive economic break-down at any moment. We're over 15 trillion in debt, and the economy is seriously going to shit. But, yes; the system really does need to be changed, because it's becoming less and less democratic, and more and more socialist, or something that's like socialism.
