Epicurus once argumented against the fear of death, stating that everything in life breaks down into two things: Pleasure and Pain, Positive and Negative sensations to the mind.
Death is neither pleasure nor pain, therefor it is not good nor bad. As it is not bad it is not to be be feared.
Death is nothing.

I don’t know what I fear more.
Think about it, for thousands of years the concept of ‘afterlife’ dictated our lives. Many cultures thrived off of it, others feared it. No matter where you are geographically, there will be more or less the same description of the afterlife, a similar description that spans from culture to culture.
Similar, but not exactly the same. Odd details, some drastically different, others very subtle.
Will you be enveloped in a cloud forged from bliss? Will you be one with angels and doves, bathing in crystal clear waters that heal every wound? Will you sip from gold cups and enjoy life in the heavens?
Or will you spend an eternity down under? Where the fires are vicious, with embers of pure hatred? Where the sparks are green because of the impossibly hot temperature? The flames that tear the very flesh from your bones, growing hotter and hotter, day by day.Where torture is imminent and merciless, where even hope has no place? The spark of man?
Both, very drastic, very different.
And yet, the concept of simply not existing.
That truly is terrifying.
Every moment, every thought. What made you function, what inspired you. Every tear that you've shed. All the laughter, all the suffering, all the smiles, the frowns. Everything erased, eradicated. Your life simply means nothing once you’re hit by that drunk driver, or when you fall over the ledge one day.
The day you first learned to walk, the day your parents were proud of that math test you brought home. The day your father walked out on you, the day your mother couldn't take it and gave up.
The people that counted on you, the people that betrayed you, the people you longed for, the dreams you dedicated your life towards. The faith you’ve practiced day in and day out, hoping that you’re one step closer to achieving true meaning.
Only for all of it to be erased by a simple mistake.
Never to be gained again.
No recollection of memories, no final dying breath.
Would you truly be able to say that you were happy with your life? That you’re so content that you’re willing to lose everything that made you who you are?
Are you truly ready, to be one with the universe and to finally achieve a higher being?
The void, empty and hollow.
We’re made from flesh and blood. Our brains are the only things that keep us in check. We write our own history so that others will remember it for us through generations.
Because the moment you’re dead, well, none of it really matters anymore does it?
Leave a legacy, accomplish what you can. Make your mark, because you won’t even remember any of it in the end.

What is the point of living if you hate life?

It's a truly fucking frightening prospect, but here's some comfort.
It's not something you'll ever have to deal with, and it's not something you can do anything about. It is literally the most futile thing in the world to worry over. While that doesn't make it any less scary, I hope it shows the pointlessness of being overly concerned about it, and hopefully helps you to push it to the back of your mind to worry about later.
There are things in life we dread, and some of those things we can't do anything about. It will only hinder us to let something immutable and inevitable be a source of stress.

I also have Asperger's. I'll be honest, when I meet some people who are really autistic (and I know one, you know, the one with the Sonic the Hedgehog / MLP obsession) it's really annoying to be around them. The problem comes up when people group all autistic people into the same category. If you're autistic, you must be retarded and not self-aware, that's what they're saying, and it pisses me off. I had to work at my social skills, same as anyone else, and while I still have a few differences, it's to a point where people wouldn't probably think I have Asperger's unless I told them.
Seems to me that "autist" is now the new "fag" in the way people throw it around on the internet. Yeah, people can say that they're joking and not to take it seriously, but the more a joke's said on the internet, the more people take it for real.
I mean, I agree that being hyper-sensitive to everything is kind of annoying and you should learn to not be a little bitch, but come on. It ain't right to say "Go back to Tumblr" when you call people out and want them to be, you know, decent human beings.
