I've been using the tech preview for about 3 months or so,
it's a lot nicer than windows 8 / 8.1

Win 7 was a nice OS, but is now dated
Windows 10 features task view / multi desktops (something Apple have been doing since 2003) and microsoft actually managed to do a good job

If you have a 4k monitor, scaling is a little better on 10

Smart snap is also really underrated, but it's hard to talk about what makes it good without doing a demo

also perhaps my favorite feature: scrolling on unfocused windows :-)

I'm interested to see where Edge will go once it supports extensions, I don't like it's dev tools compared to chrome/FF but it seems fast and the UI is very nice

Privacy concerns can be rectified, features are solid, fast as greased lightning, and clean.

Install size appears to be smaller than 8.1.

It's alright, everything works though, so it's not a buggy glitchy mess.

best way to describe kill la kill is that it's gurren lagann but focused on girls.

I really liked both but the ending of kill la kill was way more satisfying to me than the ending and middle part of TTGL. But Would TTGL really be a Gainax anime without a Gainax ending? tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/GainaxEnding

I know the feel.
Speaking of poor reception.. our mobile network coverage here is pretty crap. 4G at it's best (only in big towns and cities) is like 5-10Mbit/s, but go anywhere indoors or around big buildings / bridges and you get stuck on something slower, where you literally wait 20-30 secs for a page to load.

It might also explain how steam is using so much battery life when I'm out of the house, because it'll try connecting and connecting over and over.

Just tested the last two days again.

Yesterday: 5 hours idling (screen off all the time) with Wifi on and Steam running in the background = battery drained down to around 60%.

Today: 8 hours idling under the same conditions, but with Steam uninstalled. Battery is at 84%.

There's some real fuckery going on with that app now...

Weird. It's the exact opposite for me. The old app worked almost perfectly. (aside from randomly staying online even after I signed out on my Z1 Compact, though that's never happened on the M9)

Rant: This new one freezes and lags like crazy on my M9, and there's some really weird stuff going on. I can tell the CPU usage is high because using steam alone makes it heat up. I left my phone with only Steam running in the background on Wifi on a full battery charge, and only 3 hours later it had dropped to 57%.

Aside from that the chat and notifications is almost useless. It doesn't keep me online in the background when the screen is off (even when my settings are in order), and chatting is slow as shit (it's like when you use someone's crustly old virus infested laptop and see letters appear on screen several seconds after pressing the keys), plus messages often disappear or come up as duplicates. Several old features are gone, and the friends list is split into this awkward "recent" and "online" list, but the online list only shows the non recent friends instead of everyone. And of course, the UI is gigantic and clunky with less elements on-screen.

Well... I uninstalled it.

Yeah that's weird. The old one used %50 of my battery just sitting in my coat pocket while I was at work for 8 hours. the iOS version was the best imo

I've played other online games with them, and they are honestly the best gamers to play with generally, because they are always funny, but not to the extent, where they ruin the seriousness of the game
