I dunno why, but it infuriates me when the specs sheet only says "core 2 duo 3Ghz" but not the specific model. Judging from everything else I'm guessing it's an E8400, but shit it annoys me.

Reminds me of this.
You buy it, finding a Intel Core i7-2610UE: the weakest i7 ever manufacturered and beat even by the Intel Celeron G1610. The "1TB" referred actually to a Maxtor HDD from god knows when, whereas the SSD was only 8GB. The 750 Ti was actually a GeForce 7500 LE with a "750 Ti" sticker stuck right beside the "Made in China" decal. Finally, you look at the 300W PSU, only to find it is actually a hamster and its wheel, though it appears to had died during shipping.

It's refurbished but it does come with a 1 year warranty for some reason.

was thinking about that, but im not quite sure what i would be looking for, not to mention paranoia from having bank information compromised in the past. worried about what could be on used computers, rootkits that shrug off disk wipes or something. told me he wants to rent one from rentacenter, tried to convince him i would find some other non horrible way.

Or, if you're willing to run 3rd party scripts, download Greasemonkey (for Firefox) or Tampermonkey (for Chrome and Opera), then get this script: greasyfork.org/en/scripts/4900-kissanime-anti-adblock-blocker
