Hooyah buddy! Im in DEP for the Navy as well. I played football in highschool so im used to being naked in front of 30-40 guys in the shower so the urine test wasn't as awkward. when you had to do the part where you bend over and let the doctor look at your asshole though... yeah i didn't like that part. I'm Aircrewman, what rate did you choose?

You can figure it out if you try.

Let me tell you something. If you make it, it's not going to happen by accident. You're not going to trip and fall one day and land in a studio with a band and instruments, and a head full of musical knowledge and inspiration. If you make it there, it's because you walked down the endless road which led there, with each step deliberately placed. It's a cliched thing for me to say, to believe in yourself. Most of the time when people say it today, it's meant as a joke. But if ever anyone said it with seriousness, their words probably carried some meaning. If everyone woke up in the morning, crawled out of bed, walked into their bathrooms and said to their reflections, "I believe in CaptainExplosion," it wouldn't matter. It doesn't matter what I think; it doesn't matter what your parents think; it doesn't matter what your friends and siblings think; because if you make it; it won't be because they did it for you or because they knew you could do it. If you make it, it will be because you knew you could do it. There is one person whose beliefs matter. That person is you. There is one thing you need to believe in, one faith you must subscribe to, and one god you must pray to. You must believe in yourself, have faith in yourself, and pray to yourself.

So what if people say you don't have what it takes? Truth is, I don't think you have what it takes. Fact is, you probably don't. But that's not what it's about, and that's not why you should or should not believe in yourself. You don't believe in your talents or abilities to do one specific thing, you believe and invest confidence in your ability to change and procure the things necessary to survive and thrive.

No, you don't have what it takes. But you can get what it takes if you're willing to. Just ask yourself what your first step is.

This isn't even deep, it's just a statement of a series of facts.

It's not addressed for me, and you say it's not deep, but it is, in my view. It's a great way to think, and that's kinda how I'm getting it too. It's really hard to keep pulling at it sometimes, but it is a huge road that one must travel if they wanna see the end. I don't believe in talent. Sure, some people may have more advantages from birth, but anyone can do it if they have the willpower. You can be born in a musician family, but you're not born a musician with tons of talent. You become one, sooner or later, that is.

I'm only 14 at the moment, and I'm launching my first album with a great friend soon. I've been praised for mastering and arrangement by a lot of people, and I love to aim higher and higher with my production standards. It's still depressing to think what I am now, musically, compared to others, but I'm sure I have the potential, and so does everyone.
