They're about that same, and you save some space near the CPU cutout with most AIO liquid cooling units.

I haven't looked at cooling benchmarks for a long time because i can't fit anything bigger than a 120x120mm rad in my case without drilling out some rivets.

But if you're going for something that's $120 then get water cooling. The only problem is if you have enough space for it; in which case if you don't then you're stuck with air cooling. (If you don't have enough space for a 240 Rad, then get two 140 - 120's and just make sure you can link them together.

Air cooling is cheaper and provides just as much if not a little under the cooling power as most of the 240 Rad's and even more than most of the 120 or 140's. Water cooling and Air cooling also start to level out when it comes to the mid-range of cooling items, but the more expensive the cooling gets, the more results you will see out of water cooling. Also, Water cooling looks better IMO. +Water cooling you can always add on them Rad's and customize the shit out of them.

CM nepton 240m and corsair h100i are both right around that price. but it depends on how much space you have for a rad.

Are water coolers better than heatsinks at this price range?
