No, the moon has a pedigree of a few hundred thousand kilometers (363,295 km) because pedigree is measured from the bodies center of mass (if I remember correctly from a high school astronomy class, I may be wrong) then by my calculations and the information I found the moon's equatorial radius is 1,738.14 km and the Earth's is 6,378.1 km meaning that if you were standing on the equator of Earth and the moon was orbiting with its equator parallel with the Earth's you'd be 355,178.76 km from the surface of the moon. Jupiter's equatorial radius is 71,492 ± 4 km so if Jupiter's pedigree was the same as Earth and you were standing on the equator of Earth and Jupiter's equator was orbiting parallel with Earth's you'd be 285,424.9 ±4 km from Jupiter's "surface". Again this is based off of a High School astronomy class I took a few years ago I may be wrong.

The moon is 238,900 miles from Earth. Jupiter's radius is 43,441 miles. So if Jupiter's center was placed on the same point as the moon's center, there would still be 195,000 miles between the surface of the Earth and the surface of Jupiter.

However, we would viciously be ripped to pieces by the tidal forces of Jupiter.

User avatar #11 - imakejewburgers (11/16/2013) [-]
No. The bottom line is just the bottom line of the triangle used to represent the cloak. The circle is the stone and the line is the wand. Why in the world would the symbol of the deathly hollows include a line that represented nothing?
User avatar #15 - admiralen (11/17/2013) [-]
not really sure how a rectangular cape becomes a triangle, but it looks cool so shes forgiven
User avatar #21 - imakejewburgers (11/17/2013) [-]
If you pin a cloak around your neck the two corners come together. If you could flatten out that shape you get a triangle.
User avatar #55 - admiralen (11/17/2013) [-]
no, you would get a rectangle that goes in on the top
User avatar #56 - imakejewburgers (11/17/2013) [-]
That's called a trapezoid I believe. And I wasn't being completely technical when I said that. You're right that it wouldn't be a perfect triangle, but it would taper off greatly. A triangle looks a lot better than a trapezoid does though.

User avatar #33 - Blargosnarf (11/14/2013) [-]
It's called Kerbal Space Program, an indie space travel game that emulates actual space physics and what not very well. It's still in Alpha/Beta, and still in heavy development, but every update is free. The game itself is something 20 or 20 dollars, but it's well worth it. I suggest watching a guide or two, when I say it emulates space travel well, you're controlling EVERYTHING about the rocket!

You are reading about him right now, BECAUSE he nailed his scrotum to the pavement. Self-mutilation is probably the best form of protesting; you get a LOT of both national and international media attention and it doesn't hurt anyone but yourself.
User avatar #94 - swimmingprodigy (11/13/2013) [-]
well it does sort of make sense. Kind of. Very little but meh.

Ideally, the government is supposed to protect you, even from yourself (this is why committing suicide is illegal). So if he did this, he would have had to get treated at a hospital, which would have been sort of like finally getting some attention from the government.

Idk it's really stupid. This same guy sewed his lips together to protest the arrest of the band members of Pussy Riot
#95 - yrhcz (11/13/2013) [-]
It gets a reaction out of the people, and they are more likely to sympathize with someone who injured them self in protest rather than someone who injured others. Look up self-immolation in Tibet.

Nah, no criticism, just a couple questions though; the heck is Luna dressed as, Mars? And since when was Venus femanazi?
User avatar #21 to #20 - samio (11/04/2014) [-]
Luna is dressed up as the red spy from TF2.

As for Venus, since her name stems from... well Venus from Roman mythology, the goddess of beauty, and the obvious contrast from the planet Venus (A literal hell hole), the chances it would be feminazi are pretty high.

They haven't abandoned entirely, just hyatus for official updates, they're working hard on it, just not releasing their work. Can still get the Nightly builds, but they tend to be broken and unfinished for obvious reasons. On second thought, though, how about Terraria? I haven't played that in a long while.
