He's better at battling and actually trains his Pokemon a little now, looks like he's finally going to start evolving stuff. He has to make the obvious mistakes for the plot to be any kind of conflicting, but he's pretty... decent. But with Team Fortress being so open to interpretation as we will unlikely have a conclusive ended to the story of it. It is fun to do things like this with this type of subject matter as we may never know the true ending to our favorite Mercs.

Thought I'd pitch in my thoughts on the classes like the others:

Scout will most likely never make a good father and would have no idea on how to treat children. If anything, the one thing he'd try to teach them is how to play sports over anything else. But, worse case scenario, he'd probably try to abandon them or not interact with them at all.

Soldier would act like the crazy drill sergeant he's always been and would make a terrible influence on his children. However, he would love them like a good father would, but will still be very strict towards them.

Pyro will most likely never have children at all, but on the off chance he/she/it does, will view them as more of a pet than their own child.

Demoman would make a decent father, and would be just as good/bad as the Soldier, except he drinks much more.

Heavy would make a great father for many obvious reasons.

Engineer would also be a good father, but would try to have his children become engineers like he is.

Medic is extremely iffy, because there's a very high chance of him experimenting on his children and personally modifying their body parts on the idea of making them "better". Otherwise, his chaotic nature and mad-scientist attitude would make him a bad father.

Sniper is kind of a guess, but the chances of him being an abusive or terrible father seems low, so he's in the range of OK and good.

Spy seems like the kind of person who would never want a child at all, and on the one chance he does have one, would stay out of contact, but would provide money to the mother and child remotely.
User avatar #109 - felixjarl (09/16/2014) [-]
My list. Best is at top and worst at bottom
Heavy: Considering the lengths heavy has gone in order to protect his family it is no discussion why he is chosen.
Engineer: In my opinion the most sane member of the crew. His children would probably have good upbringing with a father that would pay a lot of attention to them as long as his tinkering did not come in the way.
Spy: He is capable of having long lasting relationships(scouts mother) and has a humanity most of the other members do not have(lay down your weapons and walk away). A good but strict father.
Sniper: He is ruthless killer but he is also shown to care for his family and tries desperately to keep contact with them. He would probably be a distant father but would do quite a lot of work for his children.
Demoman: Scottish demoman upbringing. Not the best of upbringings but he is a loving man as seen in his care for his mother.
Scout: Although he is not insane as the rest he still have a few screws lose and is simply to immature and selfish to care for anyone than himself.
Medic: It is shown that he is able to care for the beings he love(Archimedes) but he is still a mad doctor and he zero respect for others peoples organs.
Soldier: deranged. insane. and total bonkers. Treats children as if they were fully grown soldiers. Also he swears a lot, the kids should not hear that
Pyro: would perhaps not even be able to recognize children as children.

Deadbeat and careless? He has 3 jobs just to take care of his mom, I wouldn't call that being deadbeat.
User avatar #99 - dickchupacabra (09/16/2014) [-]
Don't you remember the long standing Demoman family tradition? Children are to be abandoned at birth until their talents with high explosives manifest themselves.
User avatar #100 - cheeziswin (09/16/2014) [-]
Alrighty, and then their real parents come back and care for them the rest of their lives.
Even if it is kind of a cruel tradition, Demoman is certainly not "careless, deadbeat even."
User avatar #102 - dickchupacabra (09/16/2014) [-]
I never said he was deadbeat. Another tradition amongst demomen is to have lots of jobs . However, once the their talents manifest (If they've lived long enough for them to appear. Or survived long enough after they DO appear) they are taken back and begin training in the art of being Black Scottish Explosives Experts. Not exactly the greatest of upbringings for a child.
User avatar #103 - cheeziswin (09/16/2014) [-]
I was talking about that wario guy. He said Demo was too careless, and I was stating the fact that he's actually not.
And how do you know? Demo seemed to turn out fine, and so did his father and his mother before him. I don't think it's so bad of a thing, it's just keeping the family and it's traditions alive.
User avatar #56 - mondominiman (09/16/2014) [-]
Isn't the demo and his family filthy rich? I remember reading the early comics and seeing his castle in scotland or something like that.
User avatar #58 - warioteam (09/16/2014) [-]
not really "rich" but more "decently waged"
The army pays well.
#63 - rdobet (09/16/2014) [-]
At one point the wiki said that he was a billionaire, and that, despite his wealth, his mother was still disappointed because his father worked 26 jobs and that "No demoman worth his sulfur ever had an eye in his head past thirty!"
User avatar #17 - deviousdanish (09/15/2014) [-]
You think the Scout is insane?
#18 - doblade (09/15/2014) [-]
Not insane per se. He can be rather selfish and self obsessed, but given his upbringing he may not have all his eggs in the same basket. But that just my opinion.
User avatar #19 - deviousdanish (09/15/2014) [-]
He's also a little young for it. But down the road maybe.
User avatar #20 - doblade (09/15/2014) [-]
Always a possibility. Who knows he might grow up to be a model citizen and what not, but for now I think he would not be great father material.
User avatar #37 - hottamaleez (09/16/2014) [-]
did you really just have this conversation?
User avatar #62 - majestispaceduck (09/16/2014) [-]
They're not just video game characters, they're basing this off the comics i'd assume.
User avatar #93 - doblade (09/16/2014) [-]
Correct my friend. I am basing my assumption on the more fleshed out characters from the comic it's self as they are fleshed out so you kinda get a better grasp of their personality.
#134 - hottamaleez (09/16/2014) [-]
I was asking if you seriously had a conversation on which psycho murderer from a game of psycho murderers you'd think would be a better father
#140 - doblade (09/17/2014) [-]
Well hey. It's always fun to speculate on things like this. It develops a deeper self and some times wider internal canon about the subject matter.
But with Team Fortress being so open to interpretation as we will unlikely have a conclusive ended to the story of it. It is fun to do things like this with this type of subject matter as we may never know the true ending to our favorite Mercs.

Fine, I occasionally see you on Steam.
User avatar #15 to #14 - samio (11/04/2014) [-]
As do I. Have any favorite games?
User avatar #16 to #15 - Blargosnarf ONLINE (11/04/2014) [-]
I have so many it's hard to chose... I'm not the type who settles with only a single type of game, one month I'm enjoying FPS, the next it's sandbox, then it's puzzle.
User avatar #17 to #16 - samio (11/04/2014) [-]
Fair enough.

Did you enjoy my last comic?

But I'm glad you liked it. Anything you think I should improve or work on?

Nah, no criticism, just a couple questions though; the heck is Luna dressed as, Mars? And since when was Venus femanazi?
User avatar #21 to #20 - samio (11/04/2014) [-]
Luna is dressed up as the red spy from TF2.

As for Venus, since her name stems from... well Venus from Roman mythology, the goddess of beauty, and the obvious contrast from the planet Venus (A literal hell hole), the chances it would be feminazi are pretty high.
User avatar #24 to #23 - samio (11/04/2014) [-]
Oh, what kind of game?
User avatar #26 to #24 - Blargosnarf ONLINE (11/04/2014) [-]
We have a couple multiplayer games in common, how about Starbound, never played that multi.
User avatar #27 to #26 - samio (11/04/2014) [-]
Hmm... There really hasn't been much to do since the devs abandoned the game.

You think it would be a good co-op session?
User avatar #28 to #27 - Blargosnarf ONLINE (11/04/2014) [-]
They haven't abandoned entirely, just hyatus for official updates, they're working hard on it, just not releasing their work. Can still get the Nightly builds, but they tend to be broken and unfinished for obvious reasons. On second thought, though, how about Terraria? I haven't played that in a long while.
User avatar #29 to #28 - samio (11/04/2014) [-]
Terraria eh? Sounds fun but what would we do?
