Nigga, it's not like a whole lot of chicks will be paying attention to this shit.

I mean, if you're looking for tips on the internet on how to have sex, shit is already wrong: Not because it's wrong to improve, but because you should be in the bedroom asking questions to your partner and shit, that nigga knows what he likes, you know what you like, so u go n talk about how she likes her titties being sucked and how he likes to have his balls licked, i don't know, just commuication n shit.

You misunderstand the Bible, though. Leviticus was the cultural code for the Jews during that time period, the rules listed are ones handed down because they applied to the Jews' current situation. It's not a command to followers of the Bible.

To illustrate how the circumstances changed: Jesus stopped a stoning from happening, even though the victim had broken Jewish law.

The Islamic book gives a direct instruction to followers several times to wage war on nonbelievers, and such.

Are you actually using the "taken out of context" argument?

Well in that case, there are plenty of places in the Quran which say that one should live peacefully with their neighbors, regardless of faith.

Our holy prophet, Muhammad said

"Christians are my citizens; and by God I hold out against anything that displeases them. No compulsion is to be on them. Neither are their judges to be removed from their jobs nor their monks from their monasteries."

So yeah. All religions have contradictions.

Except India has already gone to shit, and is a cesspool of poverty and instability. navsarjan.org/navsarjan/dalits/whoaredalits

And then they also have hindu terrorists too, we just don't hear about it often in 'Merica. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saffron_terror

So in conclusion, I agree with BlahDude on the majority
#66 - tck (01/21/2015) [-]
Except for one thing, which I've pointed out to several people lately:

Islamic terrorists are still considered Muslim, because their book does, in fact, say to do those things.

Christian terrorists are actually not Christian at all, because nowhere in the Bible does it say, "followers of Christ should wage war on nonbelievers."
User avatar #68 - whitie (01/21/2015) [-]
skepticsannotatedbible.com/contra/nonbelievers.html

it says to hate them and to be kind to them, the bibles kust one big contradiction, whatever you say about the morals & opinions stated within, is more often than not, right and wrong at the same time
#73 - tck (01/21/2015) [-]
First passage is from Deuteronomy, Jewish law for a time and place, not instructions to the followers of the Bible; said that in 70.

Second passage is misinterpreted, it's a passage saying to not marry a non-Christian.

People who think there are so many contradictions in the Bible don't actually understand it fully.
User avatar #80 - whitie (01/21/2015) [-]
The dispproval for gay marriage in the US is 45% (the basis for disapproval is based on another Deuteronomy law) your implication of the "new covenant with god" rendering old laws completely obselete obviously doesn't matter, because regaurdless of what you personally believe, a large (in my own speculation a majority) number of believers will follow anything that falls between those book covers, rendering your stance moot, because you simply do not agree with(and therefore do not represent) the christians that apply this to their daily life & political stance
#81 - tck (01/21/2015) [-]
The book says what the book says; majority rule is not in effect, no matter how helpful it would be in the effort to demonize Christianity.
User avatar #83 - whitie (01/21/2015) [-]
Unfortinately majority rule is in effect, because a religion is percieved as its common followers act, a majority of christians (until very recently relative to the age of the religion) followed the bibles words to the letter, and a very bloody letter at that, even though there are many progressive christians now there are still many bigoted ones too that treat non christians very disrespectfully, go search google for "christians disown son / daughter" and you can see it's not uncommon for people to be hateful , xenophobes to everyone including their family, and until those stories become uncommon & a rarity to find, christianity will continue to have the distrust & bad rep it does amongst non christians
#84 - tck (01/21/2015) [-]
Again, people's perception is not what I was referring to. On a debate level, everything I have said is correct and cited in the Bible, and people's perceptions of Christianity cannot be argued against Christianity, because I have very simply proven that it is incorrect for those calling themselves Christians to act that way.
User avatar #67 - BlahDude (01/21/2015) [-]
Attacks and murders on gay people in Uganda because the Bible says "if a man has sex with another man, kill them both"

It happens. More rarely, because christianity is the traditional religion of the first world, but it happens

European knights invaded The Holy Land to meet the Saracens as soldiers, not as citizens in a foreign land.

They came as deliberate conquerors, not average joes who went full snackbar when the muslims wouldn't honor their religion.

The problem is that politics are fucking difficult, doesn't matter what race or culture you are.
As it is right now, a group of muslims have attacked the west - and it isn't the first time, yes you could argue that the west have attacked muslims with the war in the middle east etc. but the point is that a lot of people view the muslim communities lack of action as a problem, it is true that several leaders of muslim communities are condemning the extremists and a lot say that the extremists are not true muslims and so on.
Some people do not find that satisfactory, what I think a lot of people want is for muslims to take action against extremists, not just declare them "not true muslims", but actively fight them.

I can't speak for everyone, but in my mind it's extremely unattractive to me if a girl sleeps around. I don't have a problem with people (girls or guys) having intimate relationships, but the idea of casual encounters for either sex is a disgusting idea. I personally want to reserve myself not for marriage but for love, because to me doing it any other time just feels wrong, and I very much hope I find someone who shares that idea with me. Of course I won't tell other people what to do, I believe too strongly in freedom and don't want to interfere with other people unless it's a problem.

The problem people have with promiscuity has a lot of different explanations, whether it have something to do with how easy to get = low quality, jealousy, or people believing in holding that part of their being sacred. It's also likely that it has to do with my favourite analogy on the subject, from mister Hank Hill himself (to hell with the lock one); "Bawby, if I told you you could have a soda, would you want the one that hasn't been opened yet, or the one that's had seven penis' in it?" Another thought is that they're insecure about themselves and don't want to be the only one nervous when the time comes.

All things considered I personally don't care too much, all I want is a good girl who preferably hasn't been used much/at all and we can experience life together, see sights and hopefully have a happily ever after kind of deal if at all possible.

I have a friend that we call Wuzzles, who is fat by your European standards, but pretty middle-of-the-road by American standards. He's got a big messy beard, shaves his head bald, lives in the attic of a fraternity to which he doesn't belong, has no skills whatsoever, isn't especially witty, has a medium-small dick, and drinks too much for his health. He also gets laid more than anyone else I know.

His strategy is that he goes for really broken women every time he goes out. He has a 6th sense for spotting them and making sure they are aware of the fact that they are lonely and bored, and he is present and available and has a penis. That's pretty much all it takes, under those highly specific circumstances.

Realistically, if you have two people who want to fuck, and neither of them have strict physical standards, then all the rest of that "game" stuff is just details that people like to tell themselves to feel superior to others. You can get laid off of being extremely substandard, as long as you don't demand to get laid by people with standards.
