This! If we can stop pointing fingers at whose beliefs are allegedly eroding the morals of the country, we could actually work toward fixing problems. Everyone wants to speak for the nation, nobody wants to act for it

We gotta start thinking in absolutes. We're on the right track.
Identity politics is choosing a political party based on your background... usually comes from your family or other constants like your church.
But you are right! He could have kept a mild leftist view focused more on the less violent and actual views the left side of the political spectrum holds and he probably didn't need to jump ship completely.
Did that person say they are for Trump? lol

Thanks a lot for the reply dude. I think I was a bit absolute with my argument about it being a religion of violence and hatred. I know that it's not all hatred and violence, I just meant that a lot of the teachings that are made tend to be that way. Part of the reason I made the comment in the first place is because I'm uneducated about it and would like to become more initiated so I could take part in debated more often. I don't consider myself a bigot or a racist/xenophobe, so I'm sorry if I cam across that way.

The issue I think some find though is that it's a University. It should be a place which allows discussion, even on why people think evolution is not real, not to ban what could otherwise be 'opposing opinions'. They're also labelling and banning these newspapers after the buzzwords that get fired around in social media and for headline clicks.
I know everyone is divided on Brexit, but if they banned those papers particularly for the articles shown above (instead of presenting a wide history of why they fill the 'facist' category) then that's an extra helping of 'troubling'.
Just my two pence though, guv'.

How isn't it a mental illness?.. I agree some cases have fucky gene-issues causing them, but I still feel like a good portion of it is mental.
Not saying they're crazy or that I think they're evil gypsies, I just do feel like a lot of it has to do with neurochemistry/psychology.
I think if you wanted to get technical, it'd be a mental disorder instead of a mental illness, since it's an abnormality in the functioning of the brain as opposed to an abnormality in the chemicals in the brain which results in an abnormality in the functioning of the brain.
But yeah, it definitely comes down to some mental fuckery.
the problem is its not the government or the medical system helping them
its you and everyone else's hard earned money
This might be a personal thing, but I would prefer medical assistance go first to people who desperately need it, then to people who require it for objective medical needs...
Then stuff like horomonal shit can come in last. You can live with yourself, even if its for a few more years than you wanted. Because like it or not, feeling comfortable in your body isn't a need, not being the sex you want or feel you should be will not kill you or permanently ruin your life.
Now yes if they really are uncomfortable they should eventually get stuff to rectify that. I would just prefer money I pay in taxes goes to those who really need it instead of those sort of needing it. I take a very similar stance when it comes to welfare as well.
I don't know, sex dysphoria is pretty debilitating. Transsexualism isn't a mental disorder, but dysphoria definitely is.
I'm sure these morons have some sort of reason for their views, even if they aren't in any way logical or founded in reality.
Oh the fucking irony.
Dude this is getting sad.
- I don't think that Trump will make a good president
New MEMES Have Arrived
C'mom dude, at least make your case for it. Just saying "I disagree with the most popular opinion on this particular web site" is not really bold in itself. I'm not saying that you're wrong or right, I just think you should add some substance.
Also, to make it more robust, make a more specific prediction rather than just "not good", so you can test your own opinion against the evidence. Then when the evidence comes, you can test how good you were at reading the situation. Of course one single prediction can be just randomness, so make a lot of them, and see how they fit reality.
This way it becomes much more fun thatn"I have an opinion", because you need to check yourself for bullshit.
To lead with a good example, here's my predictions: I don't think any drastic things will happen under Trump in terms of any specific metrics, such as GDP and what not (here I disagree with both the "MAGA" and the "Literally Hitler" hypothesis. Since he's advocating slightly more protectionistic approaches, I think that there will be more jobs in the US, but this will cost in terms of price increases. However, I do not think any of those metrics will be affected in any extreme sense, since the general tendecy of Trump is to make a drastic offer and then negotiate towards the middle ground. No armageddon. In line with the reasoning of Milo Yiannopoulos, I think the great victory of the Trump presidency will be cultural, there will be less opportunity to shout down debate by saying "Sexist racist hateful HBTQROFLMAO-phobe bigot", as is done still today. Having Trump not being Hitler and basically doing an average +/- something job as a president after being called Hitler by everyone will make the bigot card moot. This difference will be noticable in terms of, say, inults per debate.
I also predict that this effect will spread to the other side of the Atlantic, first to you, due to the ties of culture and language, and then to the rest of Europe as well. We will see less of insults of the kind and actually talk about how to deal with issues, even if they are of the kind where bigoteers like to consider themselves to be on the side of the angels against the forces of evil, and shout down anyone who sees limitations in terms of immigration and what not.
So those are my two cents. Now, let me hear yours.
Neither do I, I just prefer incompetence to deliberate corruption. I think he'll only have 4 years to be fair.
no one asked your opinion russia
It's a fair assumption. President with no political experience are a dice roll. Sometimes a Reagan, Sometimes a Trudea.
that's a fair assumption
