Google doesn't know how to make a YouTube like site.

Even that, do they have millions to set up servers and a warehouse full of hdd racks. a home brew server won't work.

Good point, however video hosting is not some new technology.
You need the video hosting itself, channel directories, comments, subscriptions, and a search algorithim. At that you have youtube at its bare-bones. Of course, you'd need some ads on the side and such to maintain server costs, but that's paltry with a small scale website. I know I've left out plenty of aspects of video hosting, but my point is how feasible it is to make a "freetube" like site.

Prolly cost a whole lot of money to replicate even the basics. Need more ads. lol.

so? the people who make money on youtube are the biggest problem because they keep throwing everyone under the bus as they claim they know the internet.

People have a right to make money. It's not illegal and it's not immoral so I don't see anything wrong with it. Capitalism is creative.

By people making an income I mean the content creators. This hero system and others like it come from Youtube leadership which ultimately come from Google. The type of resistance offered in the post would not inconvenience Google in any way and would therefore be pointless.
