No. I've played beta myself and i was completely uninterested. As an avid MMO player and a fan of the Elder Scrolls series.

Its a poor MMO. All the typical MMO tropes i was so used to not having to deal with since stuff like GW2 came along are back. Shared gathering nodes, so people "steal" your stuff. Mobs not scaling up, so large packs of players steamroll an area.
The UI is just aweful, same mistake as with Skyrim, its entirely inefficient use of screen real estate.
Had the greatest deal of trouble to just play with some friends.

Its a bad Elderscrolls game. It lacks the freedom or the wanderlust of an ES title (and even for an MMO its not amazing). And for some reason they managed to make the combat system even worst then it was in Skyrim, and combat isnt what ES games are known for to begin with.
It lacks immersion, going on a "quest" and just watch as the guy who was suppose to attack you as you discovered something just gets farmed by 14 players (i counted!).

There is no doubt in my mind that TESO will go free to play. Its been in development for a long time, since a time where p2p was the norm. But now it isnt, not anymore.

However the bussiness model is really important to how your game is set up. So i think they descided to launch at p2p model and try to get people invested to get as much money as possible. While behind the scenes they hammer out a better f2p model, to avoid the same mess as SWToR.

I think these rediculous pre-order and collectors edition bonusses are evidence of my theory. Big bonus, upto getting an entirely new race (Imperial). All to just get people invested. And hope it carries over long enough.
