That's how comedians work, they talk about what they live. That's why there are few non-Jewish white straight male comedians. They have nothing interesting to say.

The ****** going on over in America?
In Britain, there's a ton of white, straight, male comedians who don't mention their religion.

Sure there is, they talk about beer and football all the time.
User avatar #60 to #59 - awesomanium (12/26/2013) [-]

Because in England the topics are generally quite varied.

I gotta say I'm a big fan of Ellen's stand-up comedy, and she doesn't really mention being a lesbian that much unless she's doing a LGBTBBQ event. Yeah she mentions it, but no more than your average straight white male comedian talks about porking/attempting to pork women. She just diddles the vagiddles with a different fiddle.

Feminist: I support a woman's right to chose in all things!.. unless she wants to display her body for those damn men.
User avatar #81 to #4 - dbrak (12/27/2013) [-]
not that I'm a huge fan of feminism, but feminists are fighting for a woman's right to display her body without being objectified by men.
User avatar #83 to #81 - iridium (12/27/2013) [-]
So essentially, they're fighting for their right to be eye candy without being ogled.

In other words, that doesn't make a wick of sense.
User avatar #84 to #83 - dbrak (12/27/2013) [-]
well they don't consider it "being eye candy", they just consider it being a person. I think it goes both ways... women SHOULD exist without being subjected to being eye candy but I don't think most women understand how male sexuality works. it's a lot more overwhelming for men, since we are biologically constructed to "dominate" things.
User avatar #85 to #84 - iridium (12/27/2013) [-]
I don't know hardly straight, non-asexual women (AKA most of the population of women) that would see a well-toned shirtless man walking around the streets and not at least partially stare at him themselves. There is absolutely nothing biologically, morally or sociologically wrong with finding other people sexually attractive. So it doesn't make a wick of sense to me.
User avatar #87 to #85 - dbrak (12/27/2013) [-]
well there's a difference between checking somebody out and objectifying them. I just think women are too inconsistent with that line (it varies too much from woman to woman) while men are oblivious to it altogether.
User avatar #88 to #87 - iridium (12/27/2013) [-]
Men are pretty inconsistent with the line as well. While we certainly are more wired to be thinking about sex a greater percentage of the time, that doesn't mean we just objectify women by liking sexually attractive ones. That's some double standard nonsense.
User avatar #123 to #88 - dbrak (12/27/2013) [-]
I meant there is a much greater variety of women who fall between "sluts" and "nuns".. guys are spread out too but I feel like guys generally agree on where the line is, if they notice it.
#96 to #85 - anon (12/27/2013) [-]
I'm a heterosexual women, and when I see a shirtless attractive male I don't stare because I was taught it's ******* rude to stare.

I don't like being ogled at, I'm not going to do the same to another person.
User avatar #117 to #96 - msenigma (12/27/2013) [-]
That's it.... I knew one day someone would say something to end my lurking on this site.
Sorry, you're really not being honest with yourself. I'm a heterosexual female, and there are more times than I can count that I've ogled an attractive man. Everyone does it. , and women pretending that somehow they're morally superior to men, because they supposedly don't objectify men, are full of it. Yeah, straight guys like to look at tits and ass, but at least they're honest about it. Not like women who bitch and complain about men objectifying them, then bust out the vibrator and watch Magic Mike.

>That feel when women complain about objectification when they're as responsible as men for it, can't have nude women if the women doesn't wanna get nude, you know.

Love how laws and social ideal play women off as innocent, easily exploitable puppys or something, like they have no self awearness of what they do.
The big scary man MADE her take her shirt off for a photo shoot, the big scary man MADE her **** in a porn video, the big scary man MADE her dress scantily.

I understand some complains, but with stuff like porn, the women have to agree to it, so they're just as responsible. Cause otherwise it's rape and is illegal.
User avatar #92 to #91 - mitchr (12/27/2013) [-]
I get what you're saying, and it makes sense. However, I shall disagree:
Nobody is complaining about objectification in porn. Everyone is well aware that porn is different from real life. I assume.

Along with that, it's more the fault of the American culture in general. The goal's 'get rich' and that's all. Money is everything for our culture. British, I assume, is better. Hopefully. So we are taught to make money. Eventually, this leads to things like pimping, prostitution, porn videos, such, all for the goal of making money easily. Posing in swimsuits or nude is no different.
That there was the Sociological deviance theory known as Strain Theory. The idea that if you cannot achieve your societal goal easily, you will resort to less than optimal means to get there.

So yes, I understand what you mean, and I get that they agreed to do it, yes. And in that way, I acknowledge and agree with what you said. But they do so because of how our society thinks: get rich, then you're done. You're happy if you have money, because money brings power and bitches. That's how our society functions, and that's why it is a problem in the first place. Objectification, degradation, everything. Because our society is a ********* orgy of bills and power.

#97 to #92 - pedobearson ONLINE (12/27/2013) [-]
People will always be objectified and objectify. Gay guys, straight guys, gay women, straight women, anyone and everyone will be objectified and there's nothing you can do to stop it.

User avatar #61 to #18 - kinginyellow (12/26/2013) [-]
Just look at all the men who are shirtless or being "sexy beasts" for commercials. Old Spice for example, or hell when I went to get a haircut they had a book of choices, and every man in that book was wearing only shorts or jeans. I don't get why it goes all double standard, especially in games.
