If I were a military general, I wouldn't care. More soldiers serving our respective countries should be a thing.
War's hell. Stay alright up there.

Is it something to do with the integrity of the soldiers? Unnervedness and all that?

Yeah, there's an argument that accommodating transgender soldiers in the US military will negatively impact readiness. There are many inside and outside the military who disagree, and there's currently a multi-million dollar research grant out there for a study on whether or not it actually would.

Speaking from as close to an analytical/psychological perspective as I can get, I don't think it would. Women have served in the military well enough, even soldiers from the very people they were shooting at have at times. This is going to be like allowing that, or black people or something.

It'll pass. Hopefully. On a side note, do you listen to Two Steps From Hell?

Probably reasons not unlike the ones which led them to believe that homosexuals shouldn't be in the military.
