Funnyjunk, we've been together for a while and I love you. I really do. I've been with you through ups and downs, thick and thin, different colors, formats, fads, and admins, and you've helped me procrastinate and comforted me when everybody deserted me. I don't want to leave.
But for ****** sake, if I wanted Tumblr, I would go to Tumblr.
This site was once known for making its own comics and hating anything that came from anywhere else, and that's why I came here. But nowadays it's basically Tumblr, the realm of 15-year-old girls, and that annoys the **** out of me. That's not to say sharing is bad- far from it. Sharing is awesome, but only when it's from varied sources that expose us to new things, and only when the source is cited. Neither of those things happen too much anymore.
Yeah, sometimes the comics can be kind of ******, but they were original. They were OURS. We, as a site, were actually known for something original. We criticized comic makers and they improved, bringing new jokes. Now our most popular comic maker is Tardaasa, and those are basically Tumblr in comic form. What the hell is with this giant crush on the humor of adolescent girls?
Sorry for the rant. I just really miss this site's former glory. I hope I'm not the only one.
