You told her how you feel and she went with a random guy, just because he already bought the tickets. I bet the tickets could be resold or the guy could go with another girl.
In my opinion she is not worthy of your affection.

If you really can't let her go, then try to ask her out for a date or a dinner as "compensation". That conscious of her could work yout in your favor.

It doesn't matter if the "random" guy had bought the tickets or not. The random guy could go with anyone else, sell the tickets or just get them refunded. If you had bought the tickets before "random" guy... I'm not sure what would have happened. Either she would have found another way to weasel out of it or would have just went with you. Best not to reflect on what "could have" happened.

Hate to say it, but, that girl likes the random guy more. It's completely obvious. If, by some miracle, this girl actually is just nice and doesn't wanna disappoint her friends/randomguy... Then just ask her out after prom. If she says yes then you have your answer, if she dodges around it with another polite excuse... Then delete her from your brain.

Dude just leave her, in the end she'll probably be alone and think about you. Then you just continue to ignore the **** out of her and enjoy your life.
