>only ever had one date, a pity date on Valentine's Day in 8th grade
>kid is my first gf's twin brother

I refuse to find this funny for this fact. It's just...it's too much.

I was implying that the gf mentioned was the one from the date in 8th grade. At that age kids tend to call each other boyfriend and girlfriend on the first date. Thus the same girlfriend mentioned "in february of last year" is the same one, since Valentine's Day is in February.

While I did find the content funny, I knew the story was going to end in a punchline like this due to this inconsistency

How is it inconsistent? He was in 8th grade, that's what a lot of "relationships" are like in 8th grade.

If you'd just change the story to something like "she said she'd be my girlfriend that night, but I later found out it was just a dare from her friends" or something similar it would smooth it all over fine in my mind. But if the guy (I dont care if he's in 8th grade or what) knows its a pity date, he's not going to say she's his gf...

Eighth graders have different definitions of relationships than adults.

>pity date

No. Freely admit it is a pity date. Thus, it is clear it is not his "girlfriend"
Yes, I am over-analyzing this, and yes it is a fictional joke.

But please, admit you ****** up. Don't play it off. Then we can be cool, and it won't bother me

No I seriously meant to put that. 8th graders say that kind of thing all the time. Trust me, I put a lot of thought into this.

Just admit it. You ****** up. That's all I want to hear. It was a mistake, don't be a child and try to play it off, trust me, I put a lot of thought into this.

Man, I would admit it if I did, but I didn't. The two statements are not inconsistent. The pity date happened on Valentine's Day, and so she was the girlfriend "in february of last year". I set them up that way.

You know, I'm watching a southpark episode right now. You know, that one where Stan, Jesus and Armstrong try to playoff their abuse as non-important, or unintentional. And throughout the episode, it is blatant to everyone except them, because they won't just ******* admit they are wrong?

I like that episode. It's a good one

I don't see why you're doing this anymore. I have provided an explanation for why they are consistent, and you're still going on about why they're not. You don't want me to admit I'm wrong, because I've proven to you that I'm not. You want an apology for contradicting your comment, and I guess I'm sorry for that, but I never lied to you. I seriously did set it up the way it was from the beginning. I promise you that. You'll have to take my word on it, but my word would be no more meaningful if I had said I was wrong, that's just what you want to hear. If it was the truth I would say it was, but it isn't. Sorry.

Well then I shall thumb your content down. Because it was 'intentionally' made poorly at one point. And that ruins it for me.

The content already expired. I don't care about thumbs really anyway, but why? It's still consistent. Everyone else thought it was, because it was. You just have to think about the way eight graders label things.

Did you thumb my content back up? In case you did I have thumbed up your comments for being nice.

No to what?
