Now I have a simple question of for those of FJ, now I've been coming to this site for years and only decided to make an account not to long ago, so I'm pretty familiar with most things that come from here. What is and or the origin of the "Slender Man"? Because I've heard several different back rounds and some says he's real and others say not. I'm just looking for the proper answer.

Slender Man was created for a contest on a certain forum that I can't mention because people go batshit insane if you do. The forum really liked Slender Man so other sites caught wind of it and made photoshops and stuff. Then a youtube horror series called "Marble Hornets" was made about Slender Man. (It's a good series and I recommend it.) Then the game Slender was made. The end.

What about all the lore and myth behind the "Slender Man", for example, the whole Egyptian hieroglyphs about him and those German wood carvings about him? And now I hear talk of a movie to be released soon about him.

All that lore stuff is bullshit. Just like the photoshops. They're just made to scare you or make you think he's real. He's just a fictional character that was made up for a scary character contest.

Understandable, I know being as you posted this people may argue with you about his existence or not regardless I think it is a pretty interesting story and the lore that was made more it was very convincing which is why its understandable that there is a movie to be released about it, which I posted a trailer of and it looks fairly interesting.

I'd love to see a well made movie, and I'd be equally surprised if directors were informed enough of pop-culture to make one.

Well from what I've seen from the trailer its seems fairly interesting I mean it doesn't really show him (Slender Man) from what it does show is a tall man whom is hooded stealing a child away.
