Any people here that don't eat meat use FJ? (I know there is going to be plenty of hate on this already, but I shall welcome it anyway :D)

But I see a lot of people that love bacon and they have friends on here to have something in common with, through funny comics about eating bacon!

I was just wondering, is there any people that are vegetarians/vegans? I would like to make some friends that also share the same outlook on food choice here on FJ! :D

Two things:
1. Why are you looking for friends on the internet?
2. My ancestors didn't collectively climb to the top of the foodchain so that i can eat leaves.

I know, i sound like a douche.. This is me when im bored. You might as well block me.

Because I am bored on the internet, you know, instead of being a douche? :/ and you can eat more than "just leaves" fyi. And I don't know how to block people, nor do I care since well, I don't really care for a persons opinion when they know nothing to the side about "not eating meat".

Click on my username, under my avatar, there are a few black rectangle looking like things. Click on the one that says "Block"

Simple as that.

You can eat all the glorious veggies you want, meat is just too good.

Cool dude, sadly, don't feel like doing it. Don't find the point in doing that just because you disagree with the way I eat lol. And thanks, and yeah I know, don't get me wrong. When I remember how it used to taste, I wish that I wasn't vegan/vegetarian, but then i remember, i care about animals, even if they aren't "the most intelligent species" on the planet.

I care for them too (not as much as you, but still). I just really, really like meat. I dont know, im an omnivore, but leaning more towards the carnivore side.

The way i use to justify it is, the meat is there, in the supermarket, if i dont eat it, then next guy will. Now i just tell myself that its tasty, so why not. Proteins are good after all :P

Oh, cool, then you are one of those people that eat meat but still care for animals (i used to be that, power to you bro) and yeah I used to be that way too. and Yeah that's how I used to justify it, but idk, I just don't eat it because I don't want to eat a dead thing, and true the next guy will lol XD! that's all and true they are good for you :3!

yeah, I commented on the "marvel vs. vegetarian" thing, just sharing an opinion, since I saw some people sharing their opinions too and getting positive feedback, and i got what people would call "raped" or so by people mad at me for sharing my opinion as to why I don't eat meat lol. One thing if you disagree but going "meat is good fuck you" isn't exactly civilized! lol XD! but thanks! :D may I add you as a friend, since you weren't mean just because I don't eat meat? :3

i'm a lacto-ovo and i am trying to become a vegan so why would i give you hate :P
Without the facts vegetarianism does seem extremely stupid. until i started actually doing research and releasing myself from my ignorance i saw that animal products are "stupid"

What's Lacto-ovo mean? Sorry lol. And that's great! I hope you succeed! :D! I have only been vegan (sometimes vegetarian from time to time, can't afford to be vegan all the time, but what's important is that you still are not eating meat! :D) since october 1st of last year (2011). But ever since I have been vegan, I can tell you I feel a lot more energetic and etc! Plus, vegan chocolate cake, is SO GOOD!!!! AND!! You can eat the batter without worrying of getting samolnila or however you spell that lol XD!

it means i dont eat meat or fish however i still eat eggs(ovo) and dairy product(lacto)
veganism doesn't have to be expensive as long as you enjoy cooking veganism can be quite a bit cheaper
and ya simply cutting out meat and dairy has given me a lot more energy and i sleep a lot better

So basically I am a big wuss! But I do love cucumbers! :D So I guess that's something? lol XD! And agreed! :D Same here!! :D

it is like christianity
Christianity is the grouping of all the religions that believe jesus was the son of god
and in christianity there is catholicism, lutherism etc. (i guess that could be a good comparison)
the is lacto-ovo vegetarianism lacto/ovo- vegetarianism
veganism
there is one where you just don't eat meat but fish are ok along with dairy and eggs
etc. etc.

Oh yeah I know, I was just saying that the lacto-ovo names confused me lol. But yeah I know what you mean :), either way, though, I don't seperate vegetarians and vegans, either way, we are saving animals by not eating them! :D Plus it's super healthy for us too! So everyone benefits! :D

That too! :D lol XD Sorry I am fairly simple minded and saw some documentaries my friend gave me and that's pretty much what converted me, seeing the cruelty the documentaries secretly caught on tape,( if you go to mercy for animal's website, you will see what I mean I think.) but yeah, if you go to mercy for animal's site, you can keep up to date on them and see when they come to protest near a place where you live (they aren't all loud and stuff, they just stand there and hold a poster, I did it back on the 10th of this month, it was surprisingly a lot of fun! :D)

yeah lol, I was on my local news for a couple minutes along with my friends who had invited me along for the protest, and it was very calm and we actually got a lot of positive feed back! Like lot's of people took pictures, even a couple people afterward said how awesome it was how we stood there and showed what we believed in and a guy from an all vegan resturant down the street gave us his menu and cards for us to go visit the resturant! :D only one dude out of the bunch of people was negative and I saw two people cry after seeing our posters and many other people look upset. (So I guess we made a difference? ?_?)

Though I was a bit offended by my friend who thought I was going to go all PETA on everyone, just because I did one protest. Just because I did one protest doesn't mean I am going to go peta, it was just for the experience, and I thought I should just get more involved in my vegan/vegetarian community! lol.

Long story short, I am not going PETA, don't worry lol XD

I remember seeing a video they had on their site about how real fur is made and how they abuse and torture the animals, even if they are cubs and stuff a few years back. Besides that I don't really have much knowledge on PETA lol, all I know is that they go over the top and etc. And how has their message become distorted? can you explain if you don't mind me asking?

they get any famous person they can to speak on their behalf; they don't care about what they have done in the past an what they do

They also preach about how meat is bad for you; but now they say it is okay to eat meat if it comes from a test tube (which still involves animal suffering)

among other things

wow that's just stupid and effed up. Though I don't think that you should judge a person from their past, because they could be a changed person now. but that second one about the test tube crap is just HORRIBLE!
