I work in food service and I can tell you we realize what you're doing. You're not clever. I personally make the second scoop smaller on purpose because of this.

or, or, or, you can just give them what they paid for

I worked in food service too and I can relate. I worked at a chipotle and whenever I gave them two actual full scoops, the other person down the line couldn't fold their burrito without breaking all the tortillas.

I also work for the food industry but if it comes to portioning you weigh it so the customer gets their moneys worth so you shut the **** up.

Where i live, double actually means double.
If your burrito contains 50g of chicken, then one with double chicken will contain 100g.

It's because false advertisement is illegal. If they say double, and it's not atleast double, then a branch of the goverment called "Forbrugerr├ądet"(The Consumer Council), will make them pay a good chunck of money to you.

Don't **** with anything called "Forbrugerr├ądet"

Making sure that a random customer gets 50, not 55 grams of chicken must be the highest level of pettiness. WHY DO YOU EVEN CARE? Just scoop the ******* chicken or find another job. Faggot

double meat should be double meat bro. If two scoops together are smaller than two individual scoops, then you aint doing "double" right.

if he was that good, he wouldn't be working in a fast food restaurant no srsly it isn't a bad thing

Does the menu say that you can add double meat? If it doesn't, I don't have to give you **** . (Also coming from someone in the food industry)
User avatar #118 to #25 - akkere (07/23/2014) [-]
Yeah, actually. If the menu calls for double meat, it should be double meat. Not 1.5x meat. Not 1.25x meat. Double. 2.0.
You're the reason people look down on workers within the food industry. If you're just going to be stingy over a portion of meat that might only cost you a whole 2 cents, then people are going to think you simply flunked math class and are trapped in that job for a reason.

No wonder you work in the food industry, you're a spastic cunt.

At most places where you would ask for double meat, yes. Unless you aren't charging them for it, you're a ******* asshole.

Why would you be a **** like that bro! There is no benefit or penalty to you when you're slapping extra requested yum. Explain, or for the brief time i recall your comment I will know somewhere out there you are being a stingy cunt.

I've worked at many a food place, let me tell you why. You think the guy scooping the meat cares about the profitability of the restaurant? Not at all, he's going to give you a normal size scoop, the same one he gives everyone else. Fair is fair, every guest is equal in my and probably his eyes. Though I do try to reward those who are repeat customers or are exceptionally nice to my coworkers

It's when people try to be sneaky or clever that gets me fired up. People who try to scam their way into something more than they're paying for. The reality is you get 2 scoops when you ask for 2 scoops, a scoop is a scoop. Trying to weasel your way into more meat is just being a dick, and then calling employees "cheap" for not giving you more than they give anyone else is just....god I hate them.

Sorry for that...I love working in restaurants and food, but I hate when people try to weasel their way into more. I know that it seems like they're only looking to get a full 2 scoops here, but they would regardless and they're looking for more most times with this trick.

i see where you're coming from, but i go to places and days i order something straight and then when i ask for double this or that the lady writing up the order doesn't write it, or the guys in the back don't add it so everything is the same. Soo when you're in front of me and i see you make it i'm gonna ask for my two scoops of yum, no one is trying to be a ass they just like there pile of yum
