I'm not all right with him killing Wade's cousin. I liked Wade's cousin and he meant alot to Wade. That was just not right.

oh man... in my opinion, wade was the best ************ in the game.

Exactly! He's like the methead companion we all wish we had.

Normally I would complain about spoilers, but the game's been out for almost a year.

that's pretty much my fault, right?

It's not a big spoiler you see it coming.

I'm only at the part where they're working for the GTA fbi.

Oh...

Well you probably agree then, Trevor's more than just a dick and he shouldn't be anyone's favorite character.

Not if the ************* game didnt come to pc yet, after a year

I see where you're coming from, but I thought Wade's cousin was a little bitch and killing him was necessary to push that aspect of Trevor where there is no line. It didn't matter to him that his cousin was sort of helpful, he doesn't have any boundaries. Besides, it also helped convey Trevor's background as well as his take on life. He obviously had a bad childhood, but we learn through his last scene with Wade's cousin that he saw a lot of arguing between his parents as a kid, which triggered him to kill them both. He also pushed his anger toward his father, which he talked about in that same scene, onto Wade's cousin in harassing him and murdering him.

I think that it was an appropriate death for him.
The moral is: Don't do drugs so you can not be a little bitch.
User avatar #12 to #11 - grimgrey (06/27/2014) [-]
I feel like ending to Lost and Dammed was just so depressing. So, the fact that Johnny dies in this game doesn't really feel all that bad.

He was dammed anyways.
User avatar #13 to #12 - paulallen (06/27/2014) [-]
A cool DLC would be to play as Ashley and get revenge on Trevor. It'd satisfy a lot of the feminists and it'd be cool to kill Trevor.
User avatar #14 to #13 - grimgrey (06/27/2014) [-]
It would, but Rockstar would never do that. Given that there's already a choice to kill Trevor in the game. Maybe make another DLC where you play a Angels of Death biker in Los Santos who's as badass as Johnny or more.
User avatar #15 to #14 - paulallen (06/27/2014) [-]
Or Ashley could get the Lost out of the drug game and take down the rest of TP industries. Most people probably chose deathwish, so the DLC would work for them, but I'm sure they could work around it for the people unlucky enough to not know what the game was going for (I thought deathwish would kill all three of them).
User avatar #16 to #15 - grimgrey (06/27/2014) [-]
Yeah, but, Ashley really isn't that strong of a character. Come to think of it, Billy wasn't as much of a asshole either.
User avatar #17 to #16 - paulallen (06/27/2014) [-]
They could make her a likeable character. I think Trevor is funny and all, but I'd love to be able to get revenge. They could do it with any member of The Lost (that's still alive, I can't remember who all they killed), but Ashley was left alive and it'd be a perfect oppurtunity for a female lead character without making a whole game with a female protagonist.
User avatar #18 to #17 - grimgrey (06/27/2014) [-]
Yeah, I guess. If anybody, Rockstar could pull it off.
User avatar #19 to #18 - paulallen (06/27/2014) [-]
I have to ask, do you prefer V or IV?
User avatar #20 to #19 - grimgrey (06/27/2014) [-]
Gameplay mechanics wise? V. I ******* loved the driving in IV though. Storyline wise IV. V was wayyy to short for its content, so ******* much could have been done. But in general, IV is what I prefer.
User avatar #21 to #20 - paulallen (06/27/2014) [-]
Good choice. I've been replaying IV after I 100% V and IV is so much better. Niko is one of the best characters that I've seen in a game.
User avatar #22 to #21 - grimgrey (06/27/2014) [-]
And honestly, going back to IV felt like more of hi def than V actually. V felt a little too cartoony.
User avatar #23 to #22 - paulallen (06/27/2014) [-]
V is definitely an Arcade style game. IV is much more gritty and realistic.
User avatar #24 to #23 - grimgrey (06/27/2014) [-]
Yup. And when I got excited about three protagonists working together, I thought there gonna be moments where you can shoot from a car while Franklin was driving. Duly disappointed on that.
User avatar #57 to #24 - KevinPutt (06/28/2014) [-]
There's a few parts where you shoot while another member drives.. Or if you want that all the time, just play online. V's multiplayer is much better than IV's anyways
User avatar #65 to #57 - grimgrey (06/28/2014) [-]
Never was much of an online fan.
User avatar #30 to #9 - TheHutchie (06/27/2014) [-]
I found that painful to watch. I couldn't believe it the first time. Completely unprecedented, but an excellent move from Rockstar.

It was a fitting end to Johnny, whose life seemed fraught with suffering anyway. He was probably grateful for death.

A game that can shock like that is a good game. We need more emotional depth in gaming these days, so I approve. Better that a game ***** with your emotions than makes you feel nothing.

i feel you there. i had actually been playing liberty city stories right before i picked up gta5 so it really blew me away. to the effect of what you were saying i think that was the perfect way to introduce him. instead of just killing some biker he kills a character a lot of people have come to know and like from playing lost & the damned. then just chalks it up to everyday activities.
#97 to #30 - dtanobo (06/28/2014) [-]
To this day, when I watch Trevor's real introduction, I still cringe at that scene. It was so brutal and really showed what kind of person Trevor really is. Straight up psychotic. Probably one of the best scenes in the game.

I killed Trevor because Michael has a family, and Franklin didn't deserve any of it. He was selected more than he actually asked to be in.

Then I looked up the other endings, and found out you could let them all live. That's why you always save before huge moments, just in case. I went back to my selection and picked Franklin(or whoever you pick to keep everyone) and did the mission.

If I HAD to kill someone, it'd be Trevor for sure. But Trevor is just too much fun to actually play in the game. He has the ultimate " **** everything" ability, which comes in handy a lot in GTA.

I also realized that each character can hold a different amount of ammo. Michael can hold a maximum of 10,000 clips for each assault weapon, while Trevor can only hold 8,000, and Franklin only 1,000.

None of the characters change, nobody has an arc, they just sort of... commit crimes, get out of it okay and boom, end of game. i kinda agree with you, i just mainly think it was overhyped.
#88 to #81 - tyroneisanigger (06/28/2014) [-]
The characters being ****** , mean, evil, and violent humans is the point of the game. You can't go out and shoot 600 people irl right? SO YOU DO IT IN A GAME. I really liked the torture scene, my second favorite mission besides the Paleto Bay mission.

How can you say none of the characters change man?

Franklin went from being a first time felon out of prison struggling to make fast money, (basically a 2-bit ****** ) to being the richest character you play as (I'm including all of lester's assassination mission)., Franklin had the biggest transformation I think

Michael in the beginning was struggling to keep his family together, constant fighting among his wife, him, jimmy and tracy, to spending more quality time with his family, less arguments with the family.

Trevor went from being a grieving trailer trash man, to a rich trailer trash man that owns the LS strip club. Not much change here.

I like GTA V so much because you can do whatever the **** you want.
Without consequences.
User avatar #94 to #88 - blesstheinternet (06/28/2014) [-]
i think they mean change, as in character development; changing as a person. Michael never really becomes less selfish, no matter how many times Trevor points it out, and no matter how many times Michael himself admits it, for example.

yeah, they all get richer, obviously; they're robbing people. that's not character development. character means personality, mindset, thoughts, intentions, goals, etc. those never change or develop, they're always just robbing **** . it never changes, so it gets a bit repetitive and boring in OPs opinion, not mine
