Personally I believe that the reason America is going down the drain is the failing of responsibility. As americans we like to place blame else where instead of where it should be.
We blame children (both unborn and born) for bad parents.
We blame teachers for bad kids instead of parents.
We blame police officers for crime instead of criminals.
We blame politicians and corporations for destroying this country When it is truly the fault of the people. For standing by as it happens.

America was once the greatest country in the world what took other countries centuries to build we built in decades. but now we have fallen and need to pick ourselves back up even if that includes reaching out for a hand from our neighbors.
just my two cents

I agree with most of what you said except for "we have fallen"

You seem to hear this a lot,but the reality is that even if things keep going the way they are, the US isn't backing down on the world stage for awhile, and it is far from "fallen".

At Purchasing Power Parity, our GDP is still around 4 trillion dollars greater than the next leading contender, China. Our military budget is by an incredible margin the largest in the world, eight times greater than that of the next leading contender, again China. Believe it or not, our technological feats are still among the best in the world (mars rover). That's why Chinese intelligence is trying to steal technology from our private corporations. There are millions of illegal immigrants in this country, most from Mexico. Sneaking across the border is a very dangerous thing to try and many people die doing it. Why would they risk death to live in a "fallen" nation?

When I say fallen I do not mean economically or technologically or even professionally (Engineers, doctors, and other professionals). When I speak of fallen I talk as a people We have given up on speaking our minds due to fear of not being liked.
How people take everything the news or actor or musician says seriously without research or background
Nothing against Obama but his tactic of apologizing for America to foreign leaders
is a perfect example for how we give in to people just to be "liked"
Last time I checked our great presidents didn't care about being liked they were respected.

When did Obama apologize? I've yet to see that, though I just might not of heard of it. A link would be nice.

Like I said nothing against him He probably is a good man but has made mistakes like all of us have. I admit I've made mistakes almost every politician has made a mistake. but as a president you must show strength and not fear (The reason he stated he has apologized).

http://www.politifact(.)com/truth-o-meter/statements/2012/aug/31/mitt-romney/mit t-romney-said-barack-obama-began-his-presidency/

The last two are where he has apologized for America bottom. Yes one is for soldiers burning Korans but Roosevelt didnt apologize for our acts during WWII (as far as i have learned)

This one is about speeches he has made talking bad about america

This is Obama bowing to a Saudi King
