I am sick and tired of this, so I want to say something. I am a christian, and I support Gay Marriage. Even though the bible says that homosexuality is an abomination, it seems that most christians are forgetting the #1 lesson they are taught all throughout the bible: FORGIVENESS. The bible clearly states that no sin is unforgivable, even if something is an "Abomination"-Luke 6:36-37 "Be merciful, even as your Father is merciful. (37) “Judge not, and you will not be judged; condemn not, and you will not be condemned; forgive, and you will be forgiven;". I hate when Bible-Thumping christians alienate gays just because they are different.

That gay "rule" was in Leviticus, a Jewish book of rules for moral and legal living for a 2,000 year old society in which gays were almost nonexistent. Don't worry. If there is a just god, he'd rather have you accept than hate. If he isn't just, you'd shouldn't want to follow him.

Other laws stated:
Don't shave
No tattoos
No wearing certain types of clothing

Which I bet the 'Bible-Thumping Christians' all broke at one point or another. Why do they follow one law so strictly, and break all the others? It makes no sense.

Exactly. The bible also clearly states that it is impossible to be perfect, and that the only way to get to heaven is through the grace of god.

That's what Martin Luther said.
It got him into the greatest trouble with the Vatican.

Do you think you could find a link/source to that quote? I'd like to use this to defend my case next time this issue is brought up.

It's one of the 5 tenets of the Reformation, also called the solae or 5 solae.
Sola scriptura, Sola fide, Sola gratia, Solo Christo, Soli Deo gloria
Only through the book, only through faith, only through grace, only through Christ, glory only to God.

Much obliged for the link, but I meant the MLK quote. If you could find this for me, you shall be rewarded.

But you're a christian, why would you ever follow the true meaning of the Bible?
