This is my trainer card in sapphire, I'm working on the Elite 4, mostly training my Manectric and Skarmory because they're wicked low leveled. Anyone have any tips/changes? If you have a question about level, nature, or moves just ask

Yeah I loved having Thunder on my Kyogre.

Ice Beam
(this was back in the day before I knew much about attack and special attack and all that jazz, but this Kyogre still ruled.)

Have you tried beating other pokemon with ones you're training?
User avatar #24302 to #24300 - IrishAssassin (07/22/2012) [-]
I do a mix of E4 with exp share (I can't beat the 3rd), killing wild pokemon, and battling random trainers. The Manectric is level 35, the Skarmory is 33
User avatar #24304 to #24302 - tepeniam (07/22/2012) [-]
I would suggest you beat other pokemon using your Manectric and/or Skarmory.

Also, equip the exp. share to the one your using to beat other pokemon. I mean, with exp. share your Manectric will get 1/2 of exp. + 1/2 the exp. BUT if you use the pokemon with exp. share in battle, you get 3/4. So if you equip exp. share to Manectric and solely use him, you'll get 100% for being only poke in battle + 50% for having the exp. share on + 75% for using the exp. share pokemon in battle. That's like, 225% exp.!

I wonder if I do a double battle with just him, will that square the 225?
User avatar #24320 to #24312 - tepeniam (07/22/2012) [-]
Nope, it wouldn't because it's not like you earn more exp. in double battles.
User avatar #24323 to #24320 - IrishAssassin (07/22/2012) [-]
so it would just be 450%
User avatar #24324 to #24323 - tepeniam (07/22/2012) [-]
no, it'd be 375% if you were the only poke in the battle against 2. original 225% + 50% for being in double + 100% for being only 1.

Grind off the reporters easy exp

That's always a good fallback

Just so you know...that guy tepeniam is completely wrong. You don't get EXTRA exp for using the exp. Share. If you use him first with exp share you get the normal 100%, if you switch him out you get 75%, and if he was never in you get 50%. There is no way to get more EXP than the opposing pokemon actually gives you at 100%. If you have exp. shares on two guys and neither of them are in the fight, it'll split the experience 33% with each pokemon, the one in the fight, and the two with the exp.share. I have no idea what tepeniam is talking about....

I was using the stupidest logic ever. Read my first comment and you'll see that I was just being a smartass.

It's REALLY hard to tell on the internet whether someone is legit stupid, or just acting stupid. I felt it was necessary to correct you for this guy just in case. Meh.
