How does this sound for a lvl 100 Lairon?
Calm nature, Sturdy, Eviolite held item
Metal Burst
Iron Defense

Am I the only one who likes Lairon more than Aggron? Aggron looks like pinocchio

I like Lairon much more than Aggron.

I just saw one comment of yours, let me get this right. Beucase Lairon is Steel/Rock he gets double bonus from sandstorm?
User avatar #20884 to #20883 - dragontaming (07/15/2012) [-]
No, only Rock types get 1.5x Special Defense from Sandstorm
#20885 to #20884 - John Cena (07/15/2012) [-]
So where did you get 1.5 the third time?
User avatar #20886 to #20885 - dragontaming (07/15/2012) [-]
Eviolite gives 1.5x to both defenses.
#20887 to #20886 - John Cena (07/15/2012) [-]
Oh ok. Btw, I see you're planning to use Iron defense, but I never knew what exactly means that, you get +2 in defense?
User avatar #20888 to #20887 - dragontaming (07/15/2012) [-]
The six stages of increase are x1.5, x2.0, x2.5, x3.0, x3.5, and x4.0
#20890 to #20888 - John Cena (07/15/2012) [-]
OHHHH. Now I get it, so with iron defense you get your defense x2.0? Well, that escalated quickly.

I always thought they were useless moves because "Just +2 in defense? Bullshit"
User avatar #20891 to #20890 - dragontaming (07/15/2012) [-]
The six stages of decrease are 2/3, 1/2, 2/5, 1/3, 2/7, and 1/4. Accuracy and evasion modifications are calculated in a different manner.
Also, make an account so you don't have to wait 2 minutes and 10 seconds to reply all the time

Yeah I have weeks thinking in a name, but Dickbutt and penguinmoose are already taken...

Thanks for the help, now I see that those moves are helpful. Because in Bulbapedia (If you search a non damage move) doesn't tell you how stages work.
User avatar #20895 to #20893 - dragontaming (07/15/2012) [-]
Just note that at first you'll still have to wait a while before you can post another comment, but as your ranking goes up, the wait time goes down.

Just look up Stats on Bulbapedia then. And choose a name relevant to your interests, like I did.

User avatar #20872 to #20869 - dragontaming (07/15/2012) [-]
It's a LAIRon, not AGGron. It's for defensive purposes.
User avatar #20873 to #20872 - derpityhurr (07/15/2012) [-]
Steelix/Skarmory/Ferrothorn probably do it better
Also, I'd put an attacking move instead of Sandstorm or Iron Defense cause you won't be able to do much if your opponent can't do much damage to you with Metal Burst
User avatar #20880 to #20873 - dragontaming (07/15/2012) [-]
Metal Burst also does more than double the damage the user took, so it's more effective than Mirror Coat and Counter. And even with all the stat boosts, fighting moves would still wreck it, so Rest is there.
User avatar #20875 to #20873 - dragontaming (07/15/2012) [-]
So let me put it this way: 328 times 1.5, 167 times 1.5 times 1.5
User avatar #20874 to #20873 - dragontaming (07/15/2012) [-]
Eviolite increases both of it's defenses by 1.5x, and Sandstorm increases it's Special Defense by 1.5x as well. So no, you're wrong. And Metal Burst retaliates any attack with even more damage than the user took that turn.
