I'd do I'd do Ice Beam or Rapid spin over Drapon Pulse on turtle since Beam hits the same shit while Spin is support. I'd also do Scald>Pump but that's me.

Well I beat the Zehry league or whatever in Light Platinum and i'm on like the second route of the Lauren Region and I encounter A SHINY FUCKING SWELLOW
It did the shiny animation and I caught it and it has a shiny name except the colors are the fucking same because it's light platinum oh and the best part there's no way to transfer it to a real game . It won't even be that useful to me in game because i have a staraptor more than 20 levels stronger than it that i've had since the beginning.

In all my years playing pokemon I don't think I've ever been so happy and disappointed at the same time. Literally I've only ever had 1 other shiny. This is what I get for being Jewish.

Got my ORAS team mostly worked out. Pretty much my Y yeam but instead of M Gengar and Scarf Darmanitan I'm gonna use Mienshao with Drain Punch, Poison Jab, U Turn, Knock Off, and I'm gonna take some time to find a mega that compliments the rest of my team
Electivire
Staraptor
Reuniclus
Tentacruel
Mienshao
Suggestions are welcome, also, is Shed Shell 1 use like a Sash or Berry? I was thinking of giving it to Mienshao to ensure that I can U turn out of any situation.

That doesn't sound like a bad ORAS team at all. I can breed you the mons and then trade them over to you when you want. You can make a rule like you get one after each gym badge.

So obviously you start with either Snivy or Froakie (I'll trade you the egg with minimal steps on it and a few rare candies so when you get it it'll be your OT), you'll catch poochyena right away, and then I'll trade you over a Snivy/Froakie, Rhyhorn, Flabebe, and Shellos after you beat a gym.

This makes me want to do another wonderlocke but on ORAS... I need AS...

I have a question concerning the injection of pokemon.
How does injection work? Can you alter an already existing pokemon's stats and nature?
User avatar #636222 to #636221 - farokhmanesh (04/24/2015) [-]
Yes. There are multiple ways to do it. You can create one from scratch, or you copy one, change its stats, moves, etc. and then inject it back in the game. You can keep the original and make as many copies as you want.
User avatar #636223 to #636222 - goldenkhrp (04/24/2015) [-]
Can anyone do this or do you need special tools/software to inject pokemon?
User avatar #636224 to #636223 - farokhmanesh (04/24/2015) [-]
A 3DS, someway to load your 3DS's memory card into your computer, an internet connection, and then the PKHeX program.

User avatar #636225 to #636224 - farokhmanesh (04/24/2015) [-]

A while ago I decided to Masuda Method for a shiny skarmory. However, I got one before I was able to set the nature and breed for IV's, so it is kind of useless now. And I was hoping I could change some of its stats somehow.

Lure Latios with EQ and HP fire can work decently, but the set in general isn't really that great unless on offense, and even then regular or CM lati is better.
User avatar #636218 to #636217 - yusay ONLINE (04/24/2015) [-]
>>#636191 But Magnezone is better in general, in Ferrotran cores you just really need to break one and then the other is much easier to deal with, and it helps with Clef.
User avatar #636191 to #636186 - kyouko (04/24/2015) [-]
Just run Magnezone. Usually beats Clef (unless CM+Flamethrower variants) and beats Ferrothorn. Heatran is fairly easy to beat afterwards.

For the Landos... run your own Lando-I with HP Ice I guess lmao
User avatar #636192 to #636191 - makotoitou (04/24/2015) [-]
Magnezone could work since the problem is moreso the core rather than them both seperate. Scarf or Spec Zone?
User avatar #636193 to #636192 - kyouko (04/24/2015) [-]
Specs is the only of the two capable of OHKOing standard Ferro. It's the main reason you'll run it, and I personally prefer Magneton as a scarfer anyways.
User avatar #636195 to #636193 - makotoitou (04/24/2015) [-]
I might have to try that. I'm not huge on adding another fire weakness since my team is kinda fucked against fire, but it would work if I replace MScizor with a different spinner/defogger.
User avatar #636196 to #636195 - kyouko (04/24/2015) [-]

User avatar #636197 to #636196 - makotoitou (04/24/2015) [-]

M-Scizor
Infernape (not sure on this, was gonna replace with whatever came outta this thread)
User avatar #636198 to #636197 - kyouko (04/24/2015) [-]
Bulky Starmie instead of M-scizor I guess? Takes on Landos decently, helps with Heatran, Keldeo is it's bitch (you have amoonguss for it too, but ehhh.. never liked amoonguss) yknow cool stuff.
User avatar #636199 to #636198 - makotoitou (04/24/2015) [-]
That could work. Would it just be HP/Speed with Scald/Spin/Psyshock/Ice Beam, or is Relect Type thrown in there?

Amoonguss wrecks Keldeo so that's not really a problem.
User avatar #636200 to #636199 - kyouko (04/24/2015) [-]
I think the EVs are like this: 22 HP/32 Def/220 Speed w/ Timid nature. Don't remember exactly tho.

Reflect Type changes Starmie's typing to match its opponent's, which has fantastic utility when facing the likes of Tyranitar, Bisharp, Mega Scizor, and Ferrothorn. Scald is almost mandatory on defensive Water-types, making up for its lower Base Power with a high chance to inflict a burn. Starmie is one of the few Pokemon with access to Rapid Spin, which is an excellent tool for supporting teammates that do not appreciate entry hazards, while ensuring that hazards on the opposite side of the field remain intact. This supporting role is greatly aided by access to reliable recovery in Recover.

The given EV spread maximizes Starmie's bulk while also maintaining its very important Speed tier, with just enough EVs to outrun Choice Scarf Magnezone in order to reflect its typing. The 16 Special Defense EVs lower the chance of being OHKOed by Latias's Draco Meteor and Modest Landorus's Earth Power, as well as avoiding the 2HKO from Choice Scarf Keldeo's Hidden Power Electric. Natural Cure is the preferred ability, allowing Starmie to act as a status sponge for the team as well as heal itself of annoying status in general.

Seems Reflect Type Starmie is the standard defensive Starmie these days.
User avatar #636206 to #636204 - makotoitou (04/24/2015) [-]
Reflect Type is pretty solid, as well as just spin+3 attacks since it lures as being Reflect.

Also, would MBlastoise be any good since the mega slot is open? Lack of speed and recovery sucks, but much higher bulk, can 2HKO Ferrothorn/Heatran, and checks Landorus.
User avatar #636207 to #636206 - kyouko (04/24/2015) [-]

Yeah. Fire Dong OHKOs both steels and is immune to WoW, but is fucked by Clefable. Rock Pony can OHKO the steels and 2HKO Clefable, but is fucked by WoW and Landos. Have a tournament coming up and don't wanna get hard countered by a common wall.

Infernape @ Focus Sash
Ability: Iron Fist
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Poison Jab
- Close Combat
- Fire Punch
- Will-O-Wisp

I never play with Fire Monkey so this set is probably shit but this set should take care of what you listed except Lando-t, which is why I gave him Will-O-Wisp so you can at least cripple it
