That song isn't actually that hard. Once you get the hang of the different parts, its kind easy.

Electric Uncle Same doesn't require a 6 string, and they're easier than you thing. They're what I played as a bass noob.

Well, I'm Only Sleeping by the Beatles has a good bass line.
If you want a good sounding beat without a challenge, Float On by Modest Mouse is good.
Come Together is a classic, not that much of a challenge though.
In the end it really depends on what music you like and what type you feel like playing/like to play.

Well, I feel stupid.
It's some generic cheap bass. Don't let your parents buy you instruments.

lol. my dad's a musician so he knows his shit. I mostly use his old '79 Precision bass, as pictured above [i fucking love this thing], but we also have in our aresnal a 83 jackson custom series concert bass, a spector and shitty squier fretless jazz bass. I'd like to get a music man stingray though

don't get me wrong i love me some metal, but sadly metal is very boring to play on bass, its just thumping throughout, thanks for the suggestions though

well basically "thumping" as i like to refer to it is basically just rythm, which is fine for metal, but real bass involves alot of walking lines, and support to the song, or slap, if you wanna hear a great bass player listen to any song by primus, les claypool is a god
