lingerine fitter story

So it' s just another day, working like normal, when this
woman walks up to me and asks to be fit for a corset. Now, I
breathe a sigh of relief, because this woman is like an easy
9/ . I' m a straight woman, but when you usually measure
old ladies for bras, it' s nice to get a goodatlosing, nice-
smelling one every once and a while.
So I ask her politely to remove her top clothes, which includes
her bra. Nbd, I see boobs like 30 times a day, including my
own, you get used to t Nothing out of the ordinary about
these boobs, she measures at about a C cup. I then measure
her waist and rib cage. She' s like, . And then she asks
if I could suggest a corset set with "boyscout" style panties to
match. So, we move back on to the sales floor.
So when we' re looking for sets for her to try, she isn' t feelin'
any of the colors. So I ask if she' d be willing to try a thong set
or a tanga (like a boy short, but less coverage on the cheeks)
and she says no. When I ask if it' s a comfort issue, she replies
Kinda. Ifl don' t wear boyshorts, sometimes my penis falls
through."
She was dead. serious. I had just fit one of THE most
if not the #1 most convincing transgendered
people I have ever seen.
Even though I had just been unintentionally trolled, (I mean,
she considers herself a woman, so **** it, so should I), she
was one of the best experiences I ever had doing that job.
She ended up ordering a set online, and told me that since I
was so polite and , she' d be a return
customer. And she was, I fit her at least 6 more times. When
my job ended, not being her "fitter" anymore was one of the
saddest parts of t

Why do straight guys always assume that trans people are up to some kind of twisted game where they get points for tricking men into ******* them?

90% of the ones I know, or know of, would never do that, because they're still just normal people who wouldn't want to make anyone uncomfortable.
If you start hitting on them, they'll probably just politely let you know, and see how you react.

the thing i always was confused about was when trans/homo people say something along the lines of "well i cant change who i am. i was born this way" but they get gender reassingment surgery and whatnot. dont get me wrong, im not against either one, i just find it oddly contradictory. Like an amusing quip ya know?
User avatar #22 to #19 - butwhynot (08/06/2014) [-]
It's not a contradiction. When they use 'I am' they are refering to the person they are, not their outward appearance, because as we know you can't tell what kind of person someone is just by looking at them.

Because if your genes say something that's the ultimate truth?

Ill just go tell all those quadruple amputees to get out of their damn wheelchairs since their genes say that they're fine.

You mind explaining whats wrong with the point instead of the random insult? Because right now you're unhelpful and immature.

People always mention that you cant erase genes when you so much as mention transgender people, as if that erased the relevance of the surgery.

But its a completely worthless point since your genes don't necessarily dictate what your body is like. An amputee has genes that would suggest they'll have developed an arm. That doesn't mean that they have one.

In the same way, a post op transgender person will have a body very similar to the opposite gender. What their genetics suggest is irrelevant, and I find it ridiculous every time its brought up. Whats the point of the argument?

Basic laws of biology: Phenotype = Genotype + Environmental factors.
User avatar #40 to #39 - skypatrol (08/06/2014) [-]
I'm not even sure where to begin. Did you even attend a biology class? Because it seems that you read some things on the internet and took it as fact.

An amputee has a limb cut off, his/her body will always think that there is a limb there. Blood still flows there, muscles up to the cut-off point will still function normally.

Now when you cut someones dick off and give them a vagina, their body doesn't just think "Alright guys, guess were gonna do female **** now!"
It will always think that you have a damn penis. It produces male hormones, and tries to make semen. The surgery doesn't change any of that, it just prevents it from having any effect.
Your chromosomes have not changed. It's not even a real vagina/penis, simply reconstructed.

Yes your damn genes define who you are, thats the entire point of them. They decide exactly who your physical person is.
Environmental factors is your personality. Not whether or not you have X/Y chromosomes
User avatar #41 to #40 - freebrainsforall (08/06/2014) [-]
"Yes your damn genes define who you are, thats the entire point of them. They decide exactly who your physical person is.
Environmental factors is your personality. Not whether or not you have X/Y chromosomes"

You accuse me of an ignorance on biology, yet this is incredibly incorrect. Genes are responsible for the type and amount of proteins your cells produce, but they only partially govern the latter. Identical twins can grow to different heights and slightly varied body and facial features, for instance, even though there is typically very little variance. This is extremely basic biology. Your height, bone structure, skin coloration etc. are all partially results of environmental factors as well.

I don't understand how you can accuse me on ignorance when and then utter something as profoundly incorrect as that. Read the wikipedia page on Phenotype, for gods sake.

"It produces male hormones, and tries to make semen" Tries to make semen? The testicles no longer even exist? How could they try to make semen? And how does something nonexistent produce male hormones?

And as for your body still treating you as male, thats what hormonal supplements are for. Thats not the point of the surgery, its specifically to change your physical appearance.

Thats why its a worthless point. The surgery is meant to change your physical appearance. It changes your physical appearance. Its not meant to make you "male" or "female" in every biological sense of the word, just to change your body to match your identity as close as possible, and it does that.

Bringing up genes is touching on a subject that no one ever mentioned or even cares about, as if it was in anyway relevant to why people do the surgery.
#43 to #41 - skypatrol (08/07/2014) [-]
Had to change this pic just for you

You bring up "Identical Twins" but the ones that grow to different heights, body/facial features are programmed in their DNA to do so.

I don't think you understand exactly what proteins do in your body. There's entire college curriculum on JUST proteins and the role they have in your body. I don't know how to explain it simply, other than proteins make YOU.

Your body is still producing the hormone to signal semen/testosterone development. Your simply don't have the facilities anymore to register the signals, and it goes to waste. Your DNA has not changed. HOWEVER, you can get hormone treatment to lower the amount of Testosterone that your body produces, over time similar not nearly identical to how your body handles diseases.

Exactly! The surgery changes your physical appearance. It does not change your DNA. Nothing but Gene Therapy will ever be able to change your DNA, and that field of science is still developing.

And I bring it up because that was the entire point to my comment which was supposed to be an unpopular opinion anyways. The point I was trying to say was that the surgery can change you physically, it can make you look like a woman, but it can never change the base level DNA programming in your body.
User avatar #44 to #43 - freebrainsforall (08/07/2014) [-]

And my point was that no one cares, or is arguing against you.

Yet you insist on bringing it up as if it were relevant.

So how about people stop making a point that doesn't actually address the matter at hand in any meaningful way?

"Had to change this pic just for you"

I'm extremely impressed by your ability to be rude to strangers on the internet. Well done, you've really added to the discussion.

Your appearance is not entirely the result of your genes. Thats all I was saying, and if you interpreted it as something else thats your problem.

"Yes your damn genes define who you are"

This sentence suggested a profound ignorance on genetics, which you don't seem to possess. Perhaps you might want to phrase yourself in a matter that isn't blatantly aggravating and frankly ridiculous. You sounded like an angry 12 year old.
User avatar #36 to #24 - qauronexoforce (08/06/2014) [-]
technically incorrect to say no amount of medical intervention can change your chromosomes, although we don't have the tech now its still theoretically entirely possible and by law and just by common judgement if you have a vagina and no penis you are female,

I wonder if people would thumb you down if you weren't talking about sex, but instead species. Like, say one of those furries decides to take things a bit too far and decides to "become" a fox. Are we supposed to start treating it like a fox?

Don't get me wrong, what you do with your body is your problem, not mine. Hell, if you want me to call you a certain pronoun, I'll even play along, because why not? But can we please face biological realities?
