im so sick of people calling korean japanese just because its asian doesnt mean its automatically japanese.
User avatar #55 to #5 - norkas (08/07/2014) [-]
Korean is circles and lines. Japanese is a mix of simple and complex characters. Chinese is a *********** .

That's how I remember it anyway.

Lesson about languages
1) the written korean language looks like it is composed for lots of circles and squares
2) Japanese (the language that I am studying) is composed of 3 different languages
a) hiragana and katakana are two phonetic alphabets (and are pretty simple comparatively)
b) Kanji (or traditional chinese characters) is the symbolic alphabet that the japanese took from China. Kanji looks much more complicated than hiragana or katakana.
(you can see how in the middle column (the japanese sample) that there are a few more "complicated" characters with the hiragana and katakana)
*it's interesting to note that when a person from china comes over to japan (and visa versa) they can read and understand something if it is written in Kanji, however they can not speak or understand Japanese verbal language.

anyhow- this commercial is japanese. Not only is the script at the end in Japanese but the product itself in commercial is nigiri sushi. and nigiri sushi is most certainly Japanese.
(Korean that I know claim that they invented the seaweed wrapped tightly around in a circle style sushi).

that is definately japanese writing
User avatar #7 to #6 - sefi (08/06/2014) [-]
Didn't you hear the man? the writing doesn't mean it's japanese just because it's asian.

So it was the asians who bombed pearl harbour, NOT the japanese?
User avatar #8 to #7 - heartlessrobot (08/06/2014) [-]
Sushi is very japanese. It's the japanesiest.
User avatar #45 to #7 - greyhoundfd (08/07/2014) [-]
It actually is Japanese. The different Asian languages have really and I mean hugely ******* distinct ways of writing, it's like the difference between Latin script and Greek script. As a summary, Japanese is focused on simple, artistic line combinations, Chinese is focused on more ornate and complex symbols, often with some resemblance to blocks, and Korean is focused on the use of circles and ovals in combination with lines.

TL;DR Ganjagegi is ******* right, and the fact that you keep on saying this is Korean shows you don't know what you're talking about.
