Nope, he got the **** out so the gov can't haul him off to Guantanamo where he'd get the cold towel and bucket of water treatment.

It doesn't matter because they have no obligation to tell you what's done to him. They could basically make him disappear and do whatever they want with him for a decade and still say he is being held in a comfortable humane cell with access to healthy food and television or whatever and that he is declining interview opportunities etc, and you would believe them like everyone else. Worst part? They wouldn't even be breaking the law by doing so. Thanks to the National Defense Authorization Act they can do that with anyone because "omg terrorism".

The detention conditions prompted national and international concern. Juan E. Mendez, a United Nations Special Rapporteur on torture, published a report saying the detention conditions had been "cruel, inhuman and degrading."

That is the conditions described for when Chelsea (Bradley) Manning were detained, and trust me, the US government hates Edward much much more than they did Chelsea.

There was an issue for his extradition to be tried in court and the only promise that was made was that "He will not get the death-sentence, even though it might be a valid sentence for his crimes.", so he probably did the right thing leaving the country.

Nah, you're right. He'd just disappear and never be seen or heard of again.

The saying "Bravery is just a kinder word for stupidity" really comes to mind right now.

kill yourself

snowden running means hes alive to keep himself in the public image...if he handed himself in hed be 'silenced' and noone would ever hear from him again and just go back to conforming

intelligent people would prefer him still floating around keeping the issue alive
