As far as I remember from this in history class, one part of the army was out on a mission might have been a training camp, I don't really remember . They were pretty close to another big part of the army, and one the ******* in one of the armies got drunk and accidentally fired a shot. Both sides thought it was the other side that fired and that's how it goes.

And this all happened because one squad refused to share drinks with the other, got into a heated argument, one drunk soldier fired a shot, then all hell broke loose

there are some hilarious war stories.
i think switzerland attacked italy once with 20 men and came back with 21.
there is a battle that has its own wikipedia page between 10,000 pidgeons and the marines. The losses were 500 rounds of ammunition and dignity

False australia didnt even have an army at that point it was mostly brittish marines it wasent untill 1790 that they started recruiting FOR a dedicated armed unit for australia and that was a brittish unit mainly used to put down riots.

If you ever think that you've made a big mistake, just remember that in 2014 anon wanted to look clever but wasn't even able to distinguish Austria from Australia.
