Honestly, I personally can't stand people who get caught doing something, and then start to freak out about "Oh my God I'm so sorry! Oh I never do it again! I never meant to do it! I'm so sorry!"

******! Something made you do it! I don't give a **** if it's greed, curiousity, or your own negligence, own up to it! People always look at me funny when I say that I'm not sorry I did something, but that's the truth. I did it for reasons. You may not like them. but I will explain them to you, and you will maybe understand my motivations, but unless the only reason I'm in trouble in the first place is I've turned my white ass in myself, I will never be sorry for having done something.

That's not to say I won't be sorry I was caught...I'll regret the hell out of that.

People who cheat are the worst at this. They'll have an affair for months before getting caught, and not shed a tear, or show a pang of regret until after they're discovered. You know their emotions aren't genuine, since someone who's truly abhorent to the act would have never done it, and someone who's regretful in the offchance they did would have stopped at the first instance, and a guilty person would have turned themselves in.

Getting regretful and emotional after being caught is one thing and one thing only: trying to play at your pity to get out of whatever concequences you have planned for them...

Sure, you could want to go 300mph, but that would require an illegal car on the road. Not to mention you can barely go around one of the autobahn's curves without crashing into something.

THAT is a damn good question that I've always wondered. I mean there are some race tracks and stuff you can bring your own cars to, and street racing (though highly illegal) can be popular. Why do people need cars that go fast anyways? Mostly just as status symbols I guess.

Why do you guys build super-high powered computers when most things you do with them an average PC can run (Except for you bosses that actually use the power of the PC's to which i say kudos). I love automobiles and motorcycles with a very deep passion. My dream is to build a 1997 Toyota Supra as a drag car. Will i be able to use it on the street? Maybe, maybe not, but in the end it is worth it because its something that i (and many others) truly love. Have my wallpaper. I like maybe you will too

Thats why we like drag racing... All the youropeeings think "driving in a straight line takes no skill" or that indy/F1 is better, which might be the case, but drag racing is our deal because we can relate to it.

Thats why a lot of muscle cars and American cars put more time/money into all out engine power rather than into the suspension.... which is usually the opposite of german cars.

Not gonna lie, I've gone over 100 on the highway before, but only cause there was nobody in front of me for like a mile and I figured why the **** not. I've also gone over 80 in a 45 zone because there were no turns, lights, cars or people in front of me for about half a mile. I'm not an idiot, I know how to assess risks, sometimes though you just have nothing but straight road in front of you and nothing but a sign saying you can't.

I've taken my VW Jetta up to 120 on the highway when there were no other cars in sight. I love going fast, but I make sure I'm always the only one around so that if I **** up, I'm the only one that has to get injured. I also don't get assholes that tailgate and speed through residential areas. My rule is that if someone in front of you is going the speed limit, then respect them for it since they are technically following the rules.

brought my built GTI up to 155mph on a state highway in order to get a dying rugby player to the hospital.

Not too much to tell really. It was the rookie initiation party at my university, and I was at drill (army reserves) so I couldn't drink on a saturday night.

Well, I get a call at 11:30pm from a rugby friend, screaming to get my car over to frat row, a kid needs an ambulance.

I show up maybe 2 minutes later, and there's a good friend of mine laying face down in the grass with bloody puke all over the place.

We get some towels set up (I like the car more than my friend), and I hit it on the freeway

My onboard computer said I averaged 130mph on the freeway, and I saw my speedo at 155 at one point.

I got him to the hospital, and they did all their medical mumbojumbo, and the nurse tells me if I were 2 minutes late, he would have been dead.

I didn't know if you were talking about the Peugeot GTI. Its a Mk5 with exhaust work, intake and tune.

Ah yeah, they're peppy to start off with. But I'm seeing ~275bhp and ~305ft/bs.

Holy ****, 275!
How much does it weigh? If it's around a metric ton... boy, I bet it's quick as hell.

Curb weight is 1350kg, so it theoretically does 0-60 in about 5 and a half seconds

That's awesome.
Oh and I read the story in you #111 comment, it's very interesting.
Also the car looks very nice. But I thought the GTI comes with matching colour bumpers, not black?

ah, not actually! but it is a very common thing for people to color match their bumpers and skirts. i'd rather not.

Right, well I thought otherwise. Not that it looks bad, but same colour is a bit prettier. I bet white is hard to keep clean?

you don't know the half of it. As soon as I get decent coilovers I'm saving up for a metallic blue pearl wrap.

Isn't that the VW R32 colour? Or the Audi RS blue?

I'm wrapping my bonnet and roof to matte carbon fiber and painting my stock wheels black soon. Should look good in contrast with red.

The R32/RS's color is technically called deep blue pearl. mine is more of this Lambo's color. Obviously better looking on the lambo of course

Is that a wrap on the Lambo? Because if it is, holy ****, I didn't think wrap can look that good.
Also it's a very nice blue, I like pearl colors.
