Am I the only one that thinks the German Heer officer uniform looks extremely sexy? No homo
User avatar #38 to #36 - crotchlesshotpants (02/18/2014) [-]
Thats not a bad thing, especially since German WW2 Uniforms are the most badass looking ever made. Nothing comes even close to them
User avatar #43 to #38 - felex (02/18/2014) [-]
Plus, they were made by Hugo Boss.

High school? Why not Heil School?
#34 to #9 - John Cena (02/18/2014) [-]
noone says high school, why should anyone say heil school.
unfunny.
User avatar #71 to #34 - theannoyingFJguy (02/18/2014) [-]
In my country they say high school...
User avatar #56 to #34 - xxhadesflamesxx (02/18/2014) [-]
in Murikah its high school and if people said that in germany then heil school sounds like heil hitler
#74 to #9 - ljxjlos (02/18/2014) [-]
Sadly it´s called Gymnasium. Heil School would be pretty nice.
User avatar #101 to #74 - metalmind (02/18/2014) [-]
Well, Gymnsium has higher standards than High Schools.
Here we still luckily separate the stupid from the regular and the smart.
User avatar #105 to #101 - ljxjlos (02/18/2014) [-]
I honestly never cared enough about the american school system to inform myself - I thought Highschool was kinda the equivalent of Gymnasium - didn´t know that they don´t seperate...

yay, I´m smart.
#191 to #105 - John Cena (02/19/2014) [-]
The U.S.A.'s equivalent would be prep school. However, prep school isn't very common/popular because most of them require you to pay tuition. Students are still separated within the schools - there are more advanced classes available for this purpose.

Cool.
We all showed up in pajamas.
And there was one guy always coming to school in a Kilt. (For about 3-4 years.)
User avatar #62 to #58 - xstarrk (02/18/2014) [-]
As a german I also can confirm this. In the last week in school you usually dress up diferrent everyday. Kind of like everyday has its own theme. For example childhood heroes or cross dressing or something like that.
User avatar #63 to #62 - ricielazrael (02/18/2014) [-]
but not in all schools. my boyfriend is from bavaria and he had no clue what a "Mottowoche" is...

Don´t let people on here know - they are waaay to much into crossdressing.

I just brought a giant plush crocodile to school and got drunk senseless...

Actually, I realize that I´ve worn costumes way, way too rarely in my life.

User avatar #198 to #160 - ljxjlos (02/19/2014) [-]

User avatar #107 to #53 - chuca (02/18/2014) [-]
i was told i couldn't use a picture of a knight for a project about medieval times because he was holding a sword, there was no violence, blood, gore, nudity, obscenities of any kind just a dude in armor with a sword still in scabbard

and this is one of the reasons i have no respect for the educational system
User avatar #183 to #107 - cosmicapprentice (02/19/2014) [-]
Wat?,but... it's almost impossible to find a picture of a knight without his sword.

well, yes in german schools there is no such thing like a school uniform, however we have to dress "appropiate" for school (not too short skirt and stuff like that).

At my school there are some exceptions (these may vary from school to school), during carnival we are allowed to dress how we want at school, the same applies to the last week of school (when you do your A-Levels actually it´s called Abitur , but if you want to know more about it.... google it you lazy **** .... ) we call it the "Mottowoche" or Motto-week , each day of that week has its own motto and everybody who does his/her A-levels dresses according to it.
#67 to #22 - ripgeckosncherios (02/18/2014) [-]
same here, except taht not just the people doing their Abitur dress up in the Mottowoche: Everyone CAN dress up, but most people are to boring to do it.
User avatar #72 to #22 - ljxjlos (02/18/2014) [-]
We actually had no regulations at all (I´m from bavaria) - you could come to school as a punk in ripped-up clothes, dressed like a complete slut, everything. Can´t remember any teacher ever saying anyrthing.
User avatar #94 to #22 - shmochra (02/18/2014) [-]
Ah Mottowoche. So gut.
User avatar #103 to #22 - metalmind (02/18/2014) [-]
True, we had things like the Mottowoche, or showing up in Pajamas for the final days of school.

But we didn't have rules like not too short dresses or things like that.
#161 to #22 - dreadrabbit (02/19/2014) [-]
I never had such a thing. I didn't even know, there were any kind of rules about dressing in german schools. Because we for sure didn't have any.

At my school we have "opposite day" which is really just cross-dress day. It gets really hysterical, for the guys at least, girls just wear t-shirts and shorts.
