#8 to #6 - Rascal (11/11/2009) [-]
Then how many brits captured a platoon of 133 german soldiers ALONE during world war I? The man's name was Alvin York, look him the **** up, asshole. And by the way, the UK and US ARE ******* ALLIES!!!! Sheesh, learn some respect, twatwad.

Also, Audie Murphy. Look him up two.

captcha: macho, cuz these guys were ******* just that.

Brave men are no more braver than ordinary men, they're just braver 5 minutes longer.

Forget who's that quoted by.

Someone died a lot on Cod4

until they get gunned down. like on Omaha beach.
#154 - Rascal (11/11/2009) [-]
For all you ****** idiots that are laffin at this pic, about to, or already ahve made a joke about this pic...this **** isnt Call of Duty or any other video game. You don't respawn, you don't come back in 10 seconds. You get shot, and you are either lucky enough to survive, or you unfortunately die. If you make it outta that hell...then you are the lucky few. These people gave up their lives for you in Normandy, and every other battle, so we wouldn't be livin in Nazi control. God Bless the Veterans!!!
#160 to #154 - Rascal (11/11/2009) [-]
Cant agree with you more...BUT...if i remember correctly....this is funnyjunk.com, and this is not a funny picture. SO....why is it on here? People thumbs this **** up because they feel they mustn't disrespect our veterans, which is great...but go do your thumbs upping on a veteran dedicated website, and not funnyjunk ok? Thumbs DOWN because this is not a funny pic. PEACE
#170 to #160 - Rascal (11/11/2009) [-]
Why is it on here? It's to remember those who fell for us, for our freedom. If it weren't for those brave men and woman, this site wouldn't exist, you'd probably be dead right now, as I would be to.

I thank those who died for the life I lead today.

And the Uk, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, France, and all the territories.
#77 to #65 - Rascal (11/11/2009) [-]
You Should Kinda remember those in the other Side who died for their Country.
#99 to #77 - Deathstare **User deleted account** (11/11/2009) [-]
We should also thank Arthur Currie, the tactician who saved many lives with advanced tactics. The Rolling Barrage was a revolutionary plan in which planes dropped bombs, and our Canadian soldiers ran up the hills with the debris and smoke cloaking them from view. They even managed to capture A LOT of Germans off guard. Heck, after the British and Americans finally made it up the hills, they met the Canadians playing cards in the little dugouts. And for that we salute Arthur Currie, savior of Canadian lives.
#46 - Rascal (11/11/2009) [-]
I'm too much of a coward to go to war, but I'm going to be an aerospace engineer building advanced gear for the troops who need it. It's the least I can do.
#45 - Rascal (11/11/2009) [-]
you are all welcomed.. 101st airborn.. Above the Rest..
#19 - Rascal (11/11/2009) [-]
I was going to join the marines untill they told me i have a medical problem that keeps me out. I wake up every day wondering what im going to do now but i still thank god for all the men and women that gave their lives for their country and the ones risking everything.
User avatar #398 - Nitro (11/16/2009) [-]
The average lifetime of a Soldier on D Day was 12 seconds.
User avatar #281 - MegaTron (11/11/2009) [-]
They gave their lives for us to fight on the internet...kinda sad isn't it.

BTW

If you can't stand behind our troops

Try standing infront of them
#285 to #281 - Rascal (11/11/2009) [-]
way to totally copy what that guy said earlier dorothy.
#284 to #281 - Rascal (11/11/2009) [-]
are you that dumb, do you think EVERY SINGLE one of them wanted to? I support the troops just not what they are fighting for jackass.
#87 - Rascal (11/11/2009) [-]

Now, let us sing a song.

Haaaalllleeelllluuujjaaaahhh....

#363 - Rascal (11/12/2009) [-]
The actual quote is

"Courage is being scared to death - but saddling up anyway."

It was said by John Wayne.
#306 - Rascal (11/11/2009) [-]
The caption should say: COURAGE: when you charge onto a bare beach with nowhere to hide, blinded by adrenaline and deafened by the thunderous roar of artillery fire, rush straight ahead into a barrage of machine gun and sniper fire, step over the mangled bodies of men you've been training with for months, and still have the guts to take that goddamn beach.

The Greatest Generation.
#180 - Rascal (11/11/2009) [-]
those people are about to storm the beach risking there lives to keep are country safe and u think there going to hell? no i think not u son of a bitch. ReSpEcT fOr OuR vEtErAnS

I heard a story on the radio this morning, I don't know if it was recent or not, but I thought it was cool. So a mugger mugged this one guy, took his wallet and opened it up. His wallet had some info, and the mugger found out the guy was a veteran. The mugger gave the guy back his stuff, thanked him for what he did, fist-bumped him, and ran off.
#192 to #176 - Rascal (11/11/2009) [-]
DUUUDE i heard that to i was amazed
User avatar #32 - Kittyluver (11/11/2009) [-]
These men gave their lives for us Americans, the least we can do is have this make the front page so everyone can see this and remember how great they are and were.
#40 to #32 - Rascal (11/11/2009) [-]
or we can put this on a site made for this kind of picture,

#69 - Rascal (11/11/2009) [-]
Oh, it was, especially when the barge holding the tanks sunk, leaving we the Americans, the British, and the Canadians charging up a beach with any hell that the Nazi's could give us.
#175 - Hello World (11/11/2009) [-]
I thank the Veterans every day :)
