My grandmother constantly complains about getting computer viruses. Largely because as soon as her anti-virus blocks something, she turns off her anti-virus. Usually until she asks someone to fix her computer and they turn it back on.

My dad used to pull the power chord out of his computer to turn it off, until i explained to him that there was another way.

Now he has an ipad instead, and he refuses to ever update it, because he doesn't like change.

I'm talking 15 years ago. Maybe more. It kind of died with the advent of yahoo and google. In fact I think all AltaVista is anymore is yahoo search. Not sure on that but that was the last I heard.
