Jeez people really this isn't meant for substitution spelling... it's like the alphabet. We pronounce A as 'aa' b is 'be' c is 'ce' so on and so forth. If anyone has ever learned a romance language then you know what I talking about (Spanish is ah be ce che de so on and so forth). My point if your name is 'Adam' it doesn't become "Ayem-doht-ayem-meht" it's still spelled 'adam' it's just pronounced differently. (something like ahdohmeht)
I actually researched it. There is no official pronunciation for the Daedric alpahbet. Its basically another version of the alphabet.
If you look up "Daedric Alphabet" on the Skyrim WIki, you'll see that
It's funny cuz i posted a daedric language alphabet on skyrim channel and everyone thinks its how its pronounced. and i didnt get this many thumbs... ******* reposters
Exactlly, for example, the first arabic harf is pronounced "alif" when taken out of context, but when inside a word it has no independent pronoucination.
Everyone... it's like our own alphabet. It just how you say each letter. Imagine if someone asks you to spell your name. Your name is spelled A-d-a-m, and you would say eh-dee-eh-ehm, but when you combine those letters your mind automatically converts them into a coherent word: Adam. In order to understand how to pronounce your name in dædric (what this language apparently is) you would need someone who's at least heard someone speak it guide you. Accent is not something that can be easily derived from an alphabet. It's like the difference between Jorge in english and spanish. In english it's pronounced pretty close to 'george' but in spanish it's closer to 'hor-hey'.
You are right, alphabets have nothing to do with pronunciation in just about every language. The problem is that letters don't match up to phones (speech sounds in the language). A classic example of this is the word "prison". When spelled phonetically it actually looks more like this (using the IPA) [prIzn] because the "i" is a relaxed "i", the s is hard, voiced sound (Like Z in zebra) and we actually don't pronounce the "O".
it's not pronounced 'Adam' in Dædric, Dædric has its own pronunciation scheme, just like english vs. spanish. In practice it's probably pronounced something like Ah-doh-meht.
Unitologists adamantly believe that the human race was created by the intelligent design of a divine alien agency, and will be reunified after death in Heaven through the power of a sacred artifact known as the Marker.
Michael Altman, known as a "reluctant prophet," was not a believer in Unitology, nor did he found the religion. Michael was the only scientist at the Chicxulub crater who was immune, or possibly had a stronger resistance to the Markers' dead loved ones messages. He was able to acknowledge that the hallucinations were not real and was never fully driven to suicide or madness like others around him. Because of his resistance, the people being manipulated by illusions of departed friends and family saw him as the one the Marker speaks to, the prophet. Michael refused to believe in such nonsense, and after repeated attempts to sabotage the project, was murdered. His image was used to posthumously promote the Unitology message until the history books stated that he was indeed the great founder.
Except oblivion as a game was far worse and looked like absolute ass on top of playing like a retarded Singaporean transvestite with three kinds chlamydia coded it.
i do not oblvion over skyrim because:
you need to sleep to level up.
the world is less interesting
the speech mechanic is silly
character creation is awful
NPCs are usually uninteresting
things oblivion did right:
class systems let you choose what levels up faster.
portable alchemy labs
sneak isnt broken as **** .
um... the uh... shivering isles are cool?
Also the faction quests are way better in Oblivion, as is the main quest.
NPCs are way more boring in Skyrim (although they interact with one another better than they did in Oblivion)
The world is way more varied in Oblivion, each town has different architecture and environments around it.
And it was pretty cool that the character page showed you what factions you were in and your rank in them.
But yeah I can agree on the rest of the stuff... but I kinda like the fact that you don't have to be limited to a particular 7 skills to level up in Skyrim.
Also the whole "sleeping to level up" thing motivated me to buy a house more than just buying a house to be a thane.
You gotta build it as a tank. I don't get the people who take the damage amp route. The Juggernaut is made to just sit there and take punishment and generally aggro out to attract fire away from team mates.
Do you prefer the turret, or the hex shield?
I didn't put anything into the Hex Shield and maxed out everything else. I don't stand still long enough, or move fast enough to objectives, for the HS to matter. Plus I like having that little bit of extra firepower on the field with the turret.
The Dovah alphabet has no C. If a hard 'C' sound is used, they use the letter K (I.E. "Dovahkiin")
If the soft 'C' sound is used they use the letter 'S'
