I got the game, but I brought it through my door, my mom instantly grabbed the disk out of my hand, snapped it and yelled "I will not allow this **** in my house" im 18 btw

welp, force her to pay for it.

your money, your disk, if she didn't want you to have it in her house, then she should have said something.

randomly destroying other peoples property is not acceptable.

take her aside, explain how breaking other peoples property is not acceptable, explain how she could have just TALKED to you about it, ask what her problem is with the game, explain that everything about it on the news is worng.

tell her that you would have taken the game back to the store and gotten your money back if she told you how much she hated it. (doesn't matter if true, guilt is key)

then tell her that she basically burned $60 of your money, and you are going to need that back.

if she still refuses, find something of hers, worth about the same amount of money.

ask her how she would feel if you just smashed it to pieces right now.

also, take broken pieces of disk, put back in case, take back to store, tell them it was like that when you got it ask for money back. (it was in a sealed case, right?) its rare, but it does happen, they will probably refund you.
