would be easier to hit with a baseballbat though
User avatar #173 to #28 - hydraetis (09/15/2013) [-]
And would take more damage from the blow.

Wasps can take a ******* ton of force (as long as it's not a squishing one)
#5 - thatguyyoumightno (09/14/2013) [-]
Yea, sure you have to deal with 3 foot bees...
But it would seem a lot better when you have a 5 foot dragon in your pocket to help deal with them...
#141 to #5 - anon (09/15/2013) [-]
one of the pokedex entries says it's only 4'11 feet tall
#193 to #5 - anon (09/15/2013) [-]
thats not a dragon type, its fly/fire
User avatar #6 to #5 - sanguinesolitude ONLINE (09/14/2013) [-]
i have no idea where they pulled the sizes of pokemon from. like ash clearly rides charizard, and then supposedly he is 5 feet tall... like... ***** u srs?
User avatar #10 to #6 - arkensas (09/14/2013) [-]
Heights in the pokedex are averages, not universal.
User avatar #11 to #10 - sanguinesolitude ONLINE (09/14/2013) [-]
so you are saying there are like full grown 3 ft tall charizards as well?
#14 to #11 - boomheadshot (09/14/2013) [-]
there where baby nidoqueens and rydons in mewtwo returns so anythings possible.
User avatar #18 to #14 - fizzor (09/14/2013) [-]
Baby Nidoqueens? The **** ? That makes no sense.
User avatar #17 to #14 - thesinful (09/14/2013) [-]
But.... a baby Nidoqueen would be a Nidoran F. Wtf?
User avatar #178 to #6 - hydraetis (09/15/2013) [-]
Groudon moves continents at 11 feet. I feel like he needs to be at least 20 feet taller, like the fake Groudon in the Wishmaker movie.

While it doesn't have a type advantage, Feraligatr would make me feel safest of the starters. It's a 7'7" bipedal alligator. That's badass.
#1 - anon (09/14/2013) [-]
Yeah, but pokemon would be normal for us. That means that you'd be so used to beedrills that you never imagined them to be smaller.
User avatar #96 to #1 - horsecrab (09/15/2013) [-]
It's a three foot bee with stingers the size of your head.

You do not simply "get used to" three foot bees. I stay the **** away from half inch bees.
User avatar #3 to #1 - ragingdouchbag (09/14/2013) [-]
bees are ******* normal and i still leave them the **** alone
User avatar #8 to #3 - huszti (09/14/2013) [-]
well, if pokemon were real, you'd be having pokemon with you to defend yourself against that mofo.
#16 - thesinful (09/14/2013) [-]
Funny, while the bug pokemon became more terrifying when I realized how big they were, the others became less. Case in point: Volcarona is moth that's 5'3" (or 1.6m if you prefer). Charizard is 5'7" (or 1.7m). A moth that comes up to my shoulder is far more terrifying than a dragon that comes up to my jaw.

Though Gengar's tendency to disguise itself as its victim's shadow would make me paranoid as **** .

Larvesta is a bitch to evolve...
User avatar #199 to #38 - thesinful (09/15/2013) [-]
If you have Black 2 or White 2, you can catch a lvl 35 Volcarona in the cave near the PWT. It's moves are crap but you should have enough red shards to teach it Signal Beam at the Driftveil move tutor. Or you can trade it to another game to teach it flamethrower.
User avatar #200 to #199 - drenforcicle (09/15/2013) [-]
I know. I just traded it from the original one.
It's shiny form is majestic as **** .
User avatar #201 to #200 - thesinful (09/15/2013) [-]
And (unlike some) it's shiny form is actually significantly different! Shiny Garchomp is maybe half a shade different from regular. You get a shiny dratini for beating the Tree in White Forest and shiny gible for the Tower in Black City. Too bad I don't bother with Dragonite unless it has Multiscale

User avatar #58 to #16 - kerfufflemachtwo (09/15/2013) [-]

Some species of elephants can be around 18-20ft in length (granted, they're around 10-13ft tall).
Blue whales are one of the largest known animals, past or present, and can easily surpass 80ft in length and 150 metric tons in weight.

dude it sucks we wont be around long enough for pokemon, Virtual Reality, unlike the kids of 2100!
User avatar #44 to #20 - killerliquid ONLINE (09/15/2013) [-]
>Virtual Reality
>2100
we're still very fast in terms of technological advancing. I expect virtual reality to be real earliest at 2035.
User avatar #49 to #44 - trivdiego (09/15/2013) [-]
how long do you think it would take to be available to the average person?
I mean it will obviously come in stages, much like a computer. The graphics will keep getting better, but will we ever be able to break out of the 'pixel boundary'?
User avatar #51 to #49 - killerliquid ONLINE (09/15/2013) [-]
For virtual dive then yea, 2070 would be earliest I'd think. Then it would only be a matter of time until virtual dive until it's released to the masses, like, 5+ years after the initial prototype.
User avatar #55 to #51 - trivdiego (09/15/2013) [-]
what do you mean by virtual dive?
User avatar #59 to #55 - killerliquid ONLINE (09/15/2013) [-]
Full-on virtual reality where it puts the data directly into your brain and make the sensations feel real (think .hack or Sword Art Online if you've heard about it)
User avatar #60 to #59 - trivdiego (09/15/2013) [-]
and whats the other kind, taking up your entire vision, sounds, and allowing you to walk but not getting most of the sensations?
User avatar #61 to #60 - killerliquid ONLINE (09/15/2013) [-]
Something like that yea.
#31 to #20 - amuzen (09/15/2013) [-]
or the kids of 2020 if the Occulus rift and the omni have anything to say about it.
User avatar #37 to #31 - trivdiego (09/15/2013) [-]
whats the omni? and while by 2020 we may have a virtual reality of some sorts going, i think it would take much longer to become satisfactory, and then after that, enjoyable
#39 to #37 - amuzen (09/15/2013) [-]
It's a non friction surface/treadmill sort of thing that tracts your walking movements and emulates them in game, since it's non friction you can walk/run normally and be kept in place.
User avatar #40 to #39 - trivdiego (09/15/2013) [-]
still, you have to think about how hard it would be programming a virtual reality, especially one where you can walk around freely. just imagine creating skyrim, even without all the fighting and people and **** , just the landscape. You would have to create the smells, the textures, the subtle things like wind and ambiance. The cold of being in places like Windhelm and the challenges of walking up a mountain. The cool feeling of standing in a river that goes up to your ankles and all of the angles of every plant there is
#42 to #40 - amuzen (09/15/2013) [-]
Well yeah we're a long way away from a full fledged perfect virtual reality but we're quickly coming to a point where we can nearly perfectly emulate movement sight and sound and we've taken some of the first steps to being able to emulate finer motor controls via computer/neurological interfaces like the neurosky mindwave. We're making some pretty big steps towards true virtual reality over the next 1-5 years and I wouldn't be surprised if we had what could be considered perfect VR within 20-30 years.
User avatar #48 to #42 - trivdiego (09/15/2013) [-]
hmm... you may be right. I just think it will be a long time before we will be able to create something that may be comparable to the real world. Also, VR games have the potential to suck ass or be ****** amazing if they're like assassins creed or dishonored
