- The "very climbable hill" is 2917moh...
- The gods did not want humans on olympus and would kill/hurt anyone who tried to climb it to the top.
- They believed so strongly that the gods existed that there was no need for them to check, they kinda "knew" they were there. No one wanted to risk their life for something uneccecary.

I agree with you except for the first point. 2917 meters (9,570 ft) is a joke. I climb that regularly here in Utah, and have climbed Mt. Whitney (14,500 ft). Anyone can climb that with no training.
User avatar #78 to #33 - GuardianofzeBlind (09/13/2013) [-]
I live in Utah, too. Yaaay, but I agree, this mountain likely wouldn't have been that difficult to climb

ASIANS CAN ACTUALLY READ MINDS!!!!!!!!!!!!
They can hear, and see what you're visually thinking. This is the absolute complete truth!!!!!

Asians hide their mind reading abilities by a lot of them having completely expressionless faces so they don't accidentally show facial expressions when people think things they don't like, find funny, astonishing, etc, and Asians segregate so their not nearly as susceptible to that happening.
Asians also segregate, and are untalkative to avoid accidentally saying things that are similar to what people are thinking and going to say.

Try thinking, and visually picturing things that are as wild as you can when you are around Asians, and look for Asians who give people dirty/particular looks for what appears to be for completely no reason.

PLEASE SPREAD THE MESSAGE!!!!! THE WORLD NEEDS TO KNOW THIS!!!!!

According to greek mythology, if a mortal sees a god in an undisguised manner(their true form), the mortal promptly dies, such as in the case of the mother of Dionysus.
User avatar #18 to #6 - archangel (09/13/2013) [-]
not as bad as the mongol gods which were all clumsy and all their creation was made by accident and all the disaster where like them either having tantrums or falling over

But that's not really true is it, they knew if they went up there they'd get killed...

Bellerophon even tried to ascend to the top of Mount Olympus on Pegasus but Zeus sent a giant insect to sting Pegasus, causing it to fall.

He coulda came prepared and killed the insect but Bug's Life killed a horse and his boy #justiceforBellerophon. Pegasus lit up a whole room when he walked in rip

Etymologically incorrect.
User avatar #48 - kwanzalord (09/13/2013) [-]
That's incorrect...
1) the mountain was forbidden to be climbed as it was the realm of gods. Only those who had a purpose or were unafraid of death would climb...
2) There were actual humans that would kill you if you attempted it as they saw it as disrespect to the gods.

There were plenty of reasons why they were so "lazy"
User avatar #71 to #48 - shadowhorn (09/13/2013) [-]

If you ever read Homers Udyssé you'd know that their gods were among them, (Athene and Telemachos are some of them)
#74 to #12 - stepsword (09/13/2013) [-]
thebestperson got it right, Telemachos is the son of Odysseus, not a god.
User avatar #22 to #12 - thebestperson (09/13/2013) [-]
Telemachos is no god, he was the song of Odysseus who conversed with Athene.
User avatar #104 to #22 - larso (09/17/2013) [-]
I messed up the names, I havn't been studied it for so long, only read a few songs so far.

User avatar #106 to #105 - larso (09/19/2013) [-]
It's mandatory for my education. A lot of moderne policitcs and history can be traced back to the Greek history.
User avatar #108 to #106 - thebestperson (09/20/2013) [-]
Oh, I'm honoured to hear that from a foreigner. What do you study exactly,if I may ask?
User avatar #109 to #108 - larso (09/21/2013) [-]
Primarty Math/Physics, but greek mythology and history is as I said, just for this year, it's to help understand a lot of what which have happend in Europa since greek history, since a lot of it can be traced back to it. Everyone who have had this course have said it's boring as **** , but there is like 3 different teachers, and I believe our teacher is making it much more interresting. The way he is lecturing and such.
User avatar #110 to #109 - thebestperson (09/21/2013) [-]

I'm sure a lot of people know this, but I have to say it. It wasn't laziness, they believed that the punishment for doing so involved torture, eventual death, and the torture of your soul.

I'd like to see you try climbing Olympus before stating that.
After a point you won't be able to continue without modern day equipment and clothing unless you don't plan on returning even during summer.
