I agree completely but if I see the word revolution used in this context it just angers me. There fundamentally is no better system than the one we have in place, so the only thing to do is just go and vote.

Just because you disagree with someone's opinion doesn't make them a dumbass, but we are talking about the US. The majority of us (yes I'm an American) will follow someone who makes something sound better, even if it screws everybody over, just because the politician said something they want to hear.

Thats true about everywhere, not just the US. Drop me off anywhere in the world with a megaphone and a list of complaints and I can have a cult going by the end of the days. And of course people are out for themselves. It's the human nature. Why would anyone vote for anyone whose policies will screw them over, regardless of who they might help.
