When I got mine removed, they took out all four, and I was awake for the whole thing. They just gave me Novocaine/lidocaine. I didn't feel anything, but it was weird. First they cut open the gum (sounds like a grape being cut open), I felt blood squirting out. Then they pried out the tooth, lots of sucking/popping sounds. They had to drill the bottom teeth in half. Then they gave me dissolving stitches and sent me home with vicodin. Few weeks of swishing salt water, injecting water to clean sockets, and being in agony every morning. One socket got infected. I stayed in my room most of the time because the pain left me feeling depressed.

The first thing I ate after the procedure was cherry flavored yogurt. I also watched Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland for the first time.
