47 has the advantage since he has a free hand and snake is holding his gun in his right hand. Snake is forced to use his free hand to deal with fisher leaving him open to 47's assault. After that I leave it to Fisher since he is probably far better equipment than 47 despite 47 being the better killer.

To be honest, it's clone versus clone, as Sam would be killed in a short amount of time.
User avatar #78 to #6 - germed (09/06/2013) [-]
How that fight would actually go down:

Agent 47 spends the whole fight walking around dressed as various employees.
Snake spends the whole fight hiding in a cardboard box.
Sam Fisher gets caught in some roof wiring and spends the whole fight stuck in the ceiling.

And then Big Boss comes and kills them all.

You haven't played the Metal Gear Games, have you?

You sound like the people who think that Master Chief is better than Samus because they have no idea what the Metroid games are.

Snake has fought and beaten ghosts, tanks, psychics, giant bipedal nuke launching mechs, cyborg ninjas with swords that can cut steel, robots that can turn invisible, flying robots with guns on them, and a guy that was immortal. Western stuff is always more grounded in reality than Japanese stuff, so their characters are always going to be weaker because they aren't as over-the-top.
User avatar #193 to #134 - admiralen ONLINE (09/06/2013) [-]
master chief did a little more hardcore **** than that though, he ****** up scorpion and all kinds of **** , he can fall from orbit without getting hurt, he has regenerating shields and weigh upwards to what a tank does, hes trained in all sorts of combat and can look left and right aswell as forward and backward
User avatar #206 to #193 - indecisivejew (09/06/2013) [-]
Well if you want to go there, Samus has single handedly blown up several planets, has dozens of nukes on her person usable at any time that don't damage her, can jump more than a hundred feet vertically, can run at the speed of missles through walls, has unlimited beam ammo capable of freezing anything in one shot, has hundreds of missles, can chill in a chasm full of lava without taking any damage, is flexible and agile enough to roll into a ball for movement, has a built in AI system that can scan and give information on anything, has half a dozen visor modes for detecting anything, can create black holes out of thin air, and has transcended dimensions multiple times.

But I'm sure a guy who dies from chest high water could beat her.

User avatar #208 to #206 - admiralen ONLINE (09/06/2013) [-]
the problem with water is that his armor weighs ******* tons dude, besides, the shield he has could pretty much block everything she has and his weapons could blast throug her armor
User avatar #236 to #208 - indecisivejew (09/06/2013) [-]
You are a ******* idiot. She has so much shielding that MOLTEN LAVA does not damage it, and her armor is light enough that she can actually move better and jump higher under water. And like I said, she launches nukes and black holes that don't effect her, while Master Chief fires bullets, which have been known to do maybe one damage in some iterations. She typically has around 2000 shields.

Meanhwile, Chief's shields fail from around a dozen low caliber bullets, and he dies from one blow to the back. I normally hate this "my fictional character could beat yours" **** , but you are a complete ******* moronic fanboy if you think MC could beat Samus just because you like Halo more. I've played all the games in both series, and you have absolutely no basis.
User avatar #237 to #236 - admiralen ONLINE (09/06/2013) [-]
molten lava doesnt have any kinetic power, bullets to, masterchief doesnt just have any ******* gun either, thats a gun from the future, its WAY ******* more power full than a regular ******* gun, she has obviously ******* modified her weapons so that they wont hurt her instead of having some superarmor that cant be damaged, and again she fights ******* space pirates, masterchief fights galactic empires of the most mighty ******* **** ever, and let me remind you, the ones who can kill him one shot from the back are other spartans (master chief is WAY ******* stronger than other spartans btw) and they can flip a tank like its nothing, elites are a warrior race bred to ******* fight and they need an energy blade to cut through a spartans shield and armor
User avatar #239 to #237 - indecisivejew (09/06/2013) [-]
Oh right! I completely forgot that Halo has guns from the future! As opposed to the guns in Metroid that are clearly from the midddle ages.

But I'm sure MC's ability to flip a tank will protect him from being frozen in one shot fired at the speed of light, being nuked, and then put into an instant black hole.
User avatar #240 to #239 - admiralen ONLINE (09/06/2013) [-]
>implying you can freeze a kinetic shield lol
also i dont think it matters much if she fires her "nukes" at him, since theyre so ******* small and a nuke doesnt have especially much power, its all about the burning afterwards, second he can survive a drop from orbit, a black hole that cant even suck up the surrounding environment wont hurt him

But snake never faced trained assassins like 47 or Sam Fisher.
If they had Snake's futuristic weapons and gear and had to face the same opponents, they could do it too.
In my opinion, as someone who has played nearly all of their games, if you placed them at 3 different points in a dark abandoned building with nothing but silenced pistols, Sam would have the upper hand, followed by snake, then 47
User avatar #188 to #142 - theoriginalzombie (09/06/2013) [-]
every single enemy you kill in the MGS games is a trained assassin...

even the generic guards are supposed to be former special forces / mercenaries
User avatar #231 to #188 - yojo (09/06/2013) [-]
why did both of you ignore the "like 47 or Sam Fisher" part?
That's what the emphasis was supposed to be on and you both just completely ignored that.
User avatar #234 to #231 - indecisivejew (09/06/2013) [-]
Well if you say "like 47 or Fisher", then how about fighting Snake's ******* twin brother or Revolver Ocelot? Both are special agents with a lifetime of training, and one is genetically identical to Snake, except that Snake actually has all the recessive genes while liquid had all the dominant ones, so Snake should have lost.

And besides the fact that the two biggest villains of the series are JUST LIKE Sam and 47, why do they have to be? I'm pretty sure it would have been better for Snake to have fought a whole team of Sam Fisher's than to have done some of the **** he's done, like fight a Tank one on one in a closed arena, beaten a robotic octopus that could turn invisible, taken out a lazer shooting and missle launching bipedal mech by piloting a broken older model bipedal mech, or taking out a HIND - D by doing a backflip off of one of its missles and redirecting it at the cockpit.
User avatar #235 to #234 - yojo (09/06/2013) [-]
You do have a point with the first part of your argument and I was wrong when it comes to that.
but I still firmly believe that when stripped of the futuristic technology, Snake would come second to Fisher. But you know, opinions and **** .
User avatar #238 to #235 - indecisivejew (09/06/2013) [-]
But if you think I have a point about Snake beating Liquid and Ocelot, then how would you think that Snake needs equipment to be good, because he beat his genetically superior clone without any equipment, and beat Ocelot who had exponentially more experience than him after Snake had just been microwaved for a minute straight and while he was dying of a virus, and again without any equipment.

But anyway, it just boils down to "My fictional character is better than yours!" It doesn't really matter, but it is sort of fun to discuss.
User avatar #241 to #238 - yojo (09/06/2013) [-]
Oh good, no hostile vibes here.

It's just that when I look at what Sam is capable of in Conviction and Blacklist and what Snake is capable of in MGS2 and 3 (which is where he might be at his prime), it just seems like Sam would have the upper hand at least in stealth and . but I can't come to a conclusion on who would win if it were a situation where they just straight up walked up to each other and fought to the death. We haven't really seen Sam in a situation like that unless I'm forgetting something.

snake uses stealth in a different way then thies two. hitman you can kill the target with out even being noticed...the same goes with splinter cell. mgs you can sneak past gaurds and nonsence but in the boss fights there is no just sneaking up and offing him. you almost always get noticed and then duke it out. which is not in the hitman style. personally i think sam fisher would win he has countless missions under his belt with alot more than just a paycheck riding on him killing the guy.
User avatar #107 to #101 - indecisivejew (09/06/2013) [-]
Just because there are boss fights doesn't make Snake less stealthy. You can go through every metal gear game not only without being noticed, but also without killing a single person outside of the bosses.

In MG2 Snake's primary mission is assassinating the leader of Zanzibarland, in MGS its assassinating the entire FOXHOUND unit, in MGS2 its assassinating Ocelot, and in MGS4 its again assassinating Ocelot. He is just as much an assassin as he is a spy or a mercenary.
User avatar #102 to #86 - Shadow Guardian (09/06/2013) [-]
Fisher is an ex-Navy SEAL + cross-training with the Rangers, Green Berets, Delta Force, and Marine Force Recon. Add in the NSA training he did as the first Splinter Cell, he'd kick Agent 47's ass. Not to mention, 3rd/4th Echelon gear > Hitman gear.

User avatar #104 to #103 - Shadow Guardian (09/06/2013) [-]
Gotta say, I'd love to see Fisher vs. Snake.
User avatar #106 to #104 - indecisivejew (09/06/2013) [-]
Snake always has more stuff going for him because its a Japanese game, so things are always much more over the top and ridiculous. Remember the time he did a backflip off a missle, fought a psychic ghost, piloted a bipedal nuke launching mech to fight a submersible bipedal nuke launching mech, or punched his way through several concrete walls?
User avatar #108 to #106 - Shadow Guardian (09/06/2013) [-]
Not really. I've never played the MG series, but I've checked it out online.
User avatar #153 - ithyphallophobia **User deleted account** (09/06/2013) [-]
I don't care what kind of military background Fisher has had, 47 would get him no problem. You take out ex-military in some of the games, even the Vice President in Blood Money.
Sorry Sammy, I'm goin with 47 on this matchup.
User avatar #225 to #153 - TheGodamnBatman (09/06/2013) [-]
That doesnt even make sense.
Thats like saying i dont care what training a MMA fighter has i'm still going to beat him in a slap.
User avatar #226 to #225 - TheGodamnBatman (09/06/2013) [-]
Also by that logic,Sam has taken out hundreds of Assassins so 47 would be no problem.
User avatar #26 - trollofhalo (09/05/2013) [-]
I just realized Sly Cooper wears a school child's costume. Nice job, Japan!
User avatar #34 to #26 - indecisivejew (09/06/2013) [-]
Also that's Donald Duck's outfit, not a school child's.
User avatar #31 to #26 - metajunky (09/06/2013) [-]
Sucker Punch is an American video game company
User avatar #33 to #31 - trollofhalo (09/06/2013) [-]
I was leaning more toward how they mainly work under Sony, but who didn't know that?
*Light flashes to wall, another wall, then a water tower with "Sucker Punch" on it*
User avatar #36 to #33 - indecisivejew (09/06/2013) [-]
They weren't even owned by Sony until last year, though. That would be like saying "Thanks Japan" for the Uncharted series.
User avatar #37 to #36 - trollofhalo (09/06/2013) [-]
I never said they were owned by Sony.
User avatar #38 to #37 - indecisivejew (09/06/2013) [-]
So then why would you blame Japan? No one in Japan had creative input on the game.
User avatar #41 to #38 - trollofhalo (09/06/2013) [-]
Sorry, did you just change the subject? Anyhow, they worked exclusively with Japan, i was referencing to how nice a job Sony did by working exclusively with Sucker Punch.
User avatar #42 to #41 - indecisivejew (09/06/2013) [-]
No you weren't. You were making a joke about Japan loving school girl's outfits and it didn't apply because the people who made the costume weren't japanese. Then you went on a spree of trying to defend yourself instead of just admitting that you are wrong.
User avatar #43 to #42 - trollofhalo (09/06/2013) [-]
How do you know what I meant? And also, where did I imply it was specifically a school girl's outfit and how Japan may or may not love school girl's outfits?
#47 to #43 - deadlyambitions (09/06/2013) [-]
"I just realized Sly Cooper wears a school child's costume. Nice job, Japan!"

that blames Japan for kids school outfit

so let me solve this for u A. japan had no part in the game. B. Thats actually a sailor outfit Source:en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Donald_Duck

u then tried to turn the point around to make u sound right but u rnt
User avatar #49 to #47 - trollofhalo (09/06/2013) [-]
That doesn't prove I'm blaming Japan for a school kids outfit, but I can say I'm wrong about it being a school child's outfit.
#50 to #49 - deadlyambitions (09/06/2013) [-]
again ur implying that japan is the only one to have school girl outfit
User avatar #51 to #50 - trollofhalo (09/06/2013) [-]
#52 to #51 - deadlyambitions (09/06/2013) [-]
ur blaming japan for school girl outfits yet it was more popular and was sexier in England and such
User avatar #53 to #52 - trollofhalo (09/06/2013) [-]
That doesn't answer HOW I was implying Japan is the only country to have school girl outfits, now does it?
#54 to #53 - deadlyambitions (09/06/2013) [-]
Then how is it japans fault
User avatar #55 to #54 - trollofhalo (09/06/2013) [-]
I never said it was Japan's fault. I was saying Japan did a nice job having Sucker Punch work exclusively with them for the game.
#57 to #55 - deadlyambitions (09/06/2013) [-]
lol are u retarded japan had no part or anything with sucker punch u ****** retard

Its time to stop posting kid. Just let things go every once in a while. You don't have to spend half an hour proving how you were completely correct in every aspect of some ten word comment on a reposted internet comic.

I was pretty disappointed with the portrayal of Sam Fisher in Blacklist he was just so bland and generic

The SC series has been going downhill since Chaos Theory. Last good game in the series.

Hey, Conviction was pretty fun
User avatar #209 to #201 - vladhellsing ONLINE (09/06/2013) [-]
But it wasn't a "Splinter Cell" game; it felt more like a cross between Rainbow Six: Vegas and Batman: Arkham Asylum. Too much action, whereas the SC series has mostly been about balls-to-the-walls intense close quarters stealth. Once they start handing you unsuppressed weapons, a cover system, ****** stealth mechanics, infinite ammo and regenerating health it becomes less of a stealth game and more of a shooter.
User avatar #180 to #159 - zorororonoa (09/06/2013) [-]
Favorite SC game? Mine was Pandora Tomorrow. I don't know why, but I just really like that one above the others.

Chaos Theory is my favourite. Has by far the strongest plot and has the best stealth mechanics. Not to mention also the prettiest.

Big Boss>Snake>Agent 47>Sam Fisher>Garrett

I would like to make this list longer but stealth based games are much less frequent than they aught to be.
User avatar #64 to #59 - themedianoche **User deleted account** (09/06/2013) [-]
I'd choose Garret over Sam, he could disarm Fisher without him even notice
User avatar #67 to #64 - indecisivejew (09/06/2013) [-]
I definitely like Garret more, and he himself is a better thief/assassin, but Sam has a huge arsenal of ******** weapons and tech that would make him hard to beat for anyone who isn't genetically enhanced.
User avatar #70 to #67 - themedianoche **User deleted account** (09/06/2013) [-]
I though your comment was about who was the stealthiest
User avatar #97 to #70 - indecisivejew (09/06/2013) [-]
No, then Garret comes out on top pretty handily.

I love Thief. I hope they don't **** up the new one.
