He rode his bike to the zoo and went on a killing spree, of course.

How can you argue against eating animals when they were clearly made out of food?

This book single handedly made me a book worm. It was the first book I read as an adult and I consumed everything Orwell wrote after that before diving into Huxley.
User avatar #69 to #57 - awildniglet (09/04/2013) [-]
As an adult? I had to read this **** in 7th grade.
I don't understand how the teacher expected a bunch of 13 year olds to understand the concept. Still a great book, I've reread it many times

Absolutely. I didn't get most of what I read in my younger years. But I'm willing to bet when we're much older it will take on an even different meaning.

The idea that hitler was OK is not evil, it may be frowned upon socially in the western world but there is still evidence to support the fact that he was a good leader in many ways.

I mean that chicken isn't some neonazi kike hating fascist, he is just saying that hitler might of been OK. That is a valid opinion, anyone who knows anything more about ww2 than what is taught in school or in post war propaganda documentaries would think this too.

Probably not, vegetarians are ok as long as they aren't preachy about it. Its the vegans you gotta watch.

While that is true. I havent met many, and i have met a ton of vegans. They always have a little comment to make about what you are eating, and then get angry when you say something like " ************ we evolved for hundreds of thousands of years as omnivores, with meat forming an important part of our diet. Meat and fat gave us the calories to develop complex brains capable of abstract reasoning. so here you sit at the end of millions of years of evolution and with the brain that meat eating built, you obey your emotions and cast judgment on the natural order and have the gall to think yourself superior for this?"

if we didn't eat animals like cows they probably would have gone extinct by now because the only reason there are so many around is because we farm them to be eaten..
User avatar #73 to #72 - helenwheels (09/04/2013) [-]
By the same argument if we didn't eat meat cows wouldn't be so pathetically unfit to live in the wild. Artificial selection and what not.
User avatar #74 to #72 - markertemp (09/04/2013) [-]
That's about half of the domesticated cows. There are plenty of farms that also have cows that are raised specifically for milk.
User avatar #75 to #74 - ninjason (09/04/2013) [-]
those cows are still farmed, meaning kept alive for our benefit so if we did not use milk they might have died off as well. i'm just saying
User avatar #76 to #75 - markertemp (09/04/2013) [-]
And this is why I understand veganism even less than vegetarianism. Something about how even milking a cow us harmful...... No. Stop it vegans. Stop your ******** .

don't forget that vegetation gives us the oxygen we need to breathe!
User avatar #63 to #62 - nogphille (09/04/2013) [-]
so we should grow more of them?

what do animals breathe? what do they not only exhale, but produce extra of?
-carbon dioxide and methane which is harmful to the environment..

your comment was really stupid.
User avatar #64 to #63 - guymandude (09/04/2013) [-]
I think you are misunderstanding what I am saying, so let me try to make it a bit more clear:

**** salad ***** , this oxygen is good stuff
User avatar #65 to #64 - nogphille (09/04/2013) [-]
you are really oversimplifying or being willfully ignorant..

before the plants are ready for consumption, they've already produced a LOT of oxygen,
will the animals raised for food release all oxygen they've consumed during their lifetime upon death? no..

what creates more oxygen? plantations of greens or livestockfarms?
User avatar #68 to #65 - guymandude (09/04/2013) [-]
Or, or...just follow me here for a second...perhaps I was exaggerating for comedic effect? like sort of how jokes are made? Ever consider that one champ?

And as for what you keep talking about, I still can't tell what side of this non-existent argument you are trying to fight for, so I'm gonna go out on a limb here and think that you are trying to say that plantations of greens are better because they create more oxygen. Plantations of greens that we haven't eaten yet. Which is what I have been saying this whole time.

If you aren't saying that, then I hate to be the one to break the awful news to you that cows don't exhale oxygen, i'm sorry.
