The fact you pointed out he was a Brit makes me wonder if there was one dude from another country that got a kill using a longbow.

Imagine the face on the guy he killed with that arrow.

I picture he being like "Really? Out of all the ways I could've died during this war I go out as 'that one guy who died by a freaking bow' ****!"

no, not even close. there are enlisted and then there are commissioned. enlisted goes for the marines, recruit, private, pfc lance corporal, corporal sergeant staff sergeant, gunny, master sergeant, first sergeant, master gunnery sergeant, sergeant major and sgm of usmc. by sergeant major you have already been in for about 20 years. the commissioned goes 2nd lt( this is when you are a young guy with the same amount of experience as a pfc.) 1st lt, captain, major, lt colonel, colonel brigadier general lt gen, major general(chesty ended here) and general. chesty enlisted got to platoon sgt and got commissioned in combat to 2nd lt after that he jumped out for a couple years. in the 30s he got commissioned again to 2nd lt. he rose to lt col when the pacific theater started. after WWII he got his full bird. I dont know much past this but some how he got to major gen. he is also the only marine to win 3 navy crosses(the 2nd highest medal right next to the moh) he was the most decorated marine ever.

Because he did not pull the trigger. He was just explaining how a former ally of his fought back when he was surrounded. He used the rifle to suppress the enemy while using the pistol as a precision weapon.
