judging from the color of those light sabers I am guessing his dad is black and dead

Actually those are replicas of Anakin's lightsaber. The purple beams are an error. Either that or they just have purple saber crystals in them, although I don't know why they would.

In the expanded universe its revealed Mace didnt die in his fall in Revenge of the sith
User avatar #56 to #48 - nervaaurelius (09/03/2013) [-]
the expanded universe is sorta convoluted in my opinion...
User avatar #40 to #30 - dedaluminus (09/03/2013) [-]
Maybe Mace Windu isn't actually dead. Maybe he just doesn't want to pay child support.

But what if the kid just isn't that into Star Wars?

I'm almost certain you guys would be flipping **** if a parent wrote "I'm a belieber like my mommy before me". Tbh, this isn't the best dad ever. This is just a dad who likes something we like.
User avatar #5 to #3 - Petroleum ONLINE (09/03/2013) [-]
I'd say he's a great dad because he'd be introducing his kid to what I believe to be a great series of movies. It's not like he's forcing the kid into liking Star Wars, just a little recommendation.
#6 to #3 - John Cena (09/03/2013) [-]
This is the logic of fj. A person makes a completely valid and rational statement, and they get thumbed down.
User avatar #28 to #3 - thalfak (09/03/2013) [-]
Or maybe the dad is actually a jedi?

Then we must bring balance to the force. The child's future is looking dark.
User avatar #39 to #3 - Crusader (09/03/2013) [-]
Yes, that is what makes him the best ever in our opinion.
If a president believes in what you believe, would you not think he is the best ever?

True yet I like hits he likes some hings he doesn't I get the point but at least this showing this father cares rather than have father tell you that you should have never been born then to never see the cunt again I tell my kid whiny bitch
#50 to #3 - sexualtyranosaurus (09/03/2013) [-]
I don't see that as a problem in a baby's room though.

Other people put elephants, sheep, or dinosaurs on the walls. There is no guarantee the kid is going to like those things either. But we're not going to wait until the kids 3 to decorate his room.
User avatar #46 to #3 - volleys (09/03/2013) [-]
The kid might not like Star Wars? Heresy!

Except the Jedi are a much better role model than Beiber. I'd much rather have a child practice moderation and chivalry over spitting on crowds and peeing in janitors buckets or raging in restaurants.

"I am a weeaboo like my senpai before me."

.... Or something. But still awesome nightlight though.

I think it's a pretty safe bet that any kid who crib is just entertained by the flashing lights, by the time they have an opinion they'll probably have changed the room around. It's not like when you put up a sunshine wallpaper in your nursery room you're keeping it until they move out.

I just watched the video. They are very similar but the cribs are a different color and the text on the wall is different. But who knows, he could've changed it at some point.

This is bothering me. The color of the blade does not match the hilt.
User avatar #9 to #8 - ehzio (09/03/2013) [-]
You do know, in the Star Wars universe, the color of the blade is powered by a crystals right.... As in the hilt has nothing to do with the color other than to power and hold the crystal.

but I understand it's Vader's hilt
User avatar #18 to #9 - frankayy (09/03/2013) [-]
That's Anakin's hilt before he became Vader, bro.
User avatar #38 to #18 - Crusader (09/03/2013) [-]
But not all hilts are unique, actually, none are, all the hilts (in terms of lore) have been used more than once.
User avatar #11 to #9 - shamrockd (09/03/2013) [-]
I do know that, but you also have to remember that each Jedi builds his own lightsaber, so each hilt is unique to them. That is definitely the hilt of Anakin's lightsaber, and he definitely had a blue blade.
#15 to #11 - steveiscooland ONLINE (09/03/2013) [-]
maybe the light sabers were blue but then they found out they were having a girl and changed them out
#14 to #11 - thespartanha (09/03/2013) [-]
Well then maybe someone built a copy of anakins light saber but put a purple crystal in it?
User avatar #16 to #14 - malinko (09/03/2013) [-]
No. there have been only two jedi to ever have a purple light saber. An'ya Kuro and mace windu.

they come from the planet Hurikane, where lives of course the Hurikanean's, they are like creatures made of crystal. and mace windu was given one from one of the creatures for helping them.

it never says how An'ya Kuro gets hers.

so they are like super super rare.
#35 to #16 - diedede (09/03/2013) [-]
I shall show you Mara Jade (once she is a jedi)

BTW: I think the color of the lightsaber comes frome some cystals Krayt dradons have.
#34 to #16 - angelusprimus (09/03/2013) [-]
Very good but not quite right.
Mace Windu's lightsaber is amethyst colored, which is a specific SHADE of purple, and only two people have that color.
Even rarer is magenta lightsaber that only known user is Mara Jade and only because Luke found her an incredibly rare crystal.
Simple purple is very rare, but not nearly as rare as those two. And have been in use since before Jedi civil war.

Those replica lightsabers are pretty expensive. I got a Darth Vader one for Christmas like 5 or so years ago. Like $150 each.

#20 - John Cena (09/03/2013) [-]
You all realize that this is completely inaccurate, as Jedi are sworn to a code not to marry anyone for their entire life of service. And that the only son of someone who is a Jedi, his father became a Sith Lord? So either his father is evil incarnate or just a fool for decorating his son's crib this way.

all of that was dropped in the extended universe, brah. why you think luke has a son and is still in the jedi council?
User avatar #37 to #20 - Crusader (09/03/2013) [-]
Nope, the New Jedi Order realized that love is fine, possession, and envy and greed that come along are bad.
To the point that Luke has children himself.

He's probably just decorating the room for his son as the picture shows, I'm fairly certain that he didn't abide by the Jedi oath.
